There’s nothing logically saying Thompson will do anything worth a shite tomorrow

Just hope

Look at Florida's top hitters prior to the Game today.
They were dreadful hitting in the 100s. And these are future MLB guys.

I agree - he knows he’s done nothing at the plate and it is affecting him in the field. He’s been given 7 games to get out the slump. I’d absolutely shake up the lineup and find a way to get Jones in the entire game.

You realized who you were replying to huh?
I forgive you.

I was gonna jack all of you off and ply you with shots in Homerun Village. That's what I'd do.

Let the pitcher hit. Can't be much worse than 1/31.

His point is he goes to the mid week games the games that seemingly aren't that important I.e. He's a real fan. His point is people who talk like you are likely haven't been paying attention much less attending games

We have left 30 plus runners on base in 2 games versus Florida. We have had a few timely hits but stellar pitching and defense got us to Florida not our bats. Yesterday we just lost the 2 things we had going for us in Omaha. We will right the ship in game 3 and compete.

Yeah Jordan allowed 24 runs today all by himself. This was a complete breakdown of the pitching staff. Stop blaming a couple of fielding errors on this loss.

JT must have a large family because that's the only explanation for this many people parroting the same line.

The dude was off from the start. He damn near ran over White in the 1st inning, bobbled a sure fire double play, and then made the dumbest throw to 3rd I've ever seen.

BTW, LSU was still in the game at that point.

If anyone thinks those things didn't affect this team and didn't play a significant role in how this game went, they've clearly never played sports before. Hell, Dugas said something to him after the errant throw to 3rd.

At this rate Jordan Thompson is next years starting shortstop. Costing himself a lot of money.

The errors played a role for sure but they are not the only reason Florida had 24 runs and LSU only had 3. I bet Dugas said "Shake it off". We need all 9 to win tonight.

Yeah, that would be largely due to everyone throwing in the towel and saying "on to tomorrow".

That game wasn't going to be the same as Saturday night, but it could have been vastly different than what it was if the score to start the bottom half of the 3rd is 3-3 and not 7-3.

That's when the game started getting out of hand. Those errors combined with 8 left on through 3 innings were major contributors to why this ended 24-4.

Hopefully Jordan will lighten up and make a positive contribution tonight.

And here's to the A side of the rotation with St. Paul & Co. having one more Bayou miracle left in them.

Yeah, I’m sure the pitchers decided to throw in the towel while pitching in the CWS and throw BP. Nobody can objectively say that Thompson didn’t have the largest share of the blame from a position player today. But it’s also stupid to say we lost because of him objectively as well.

Obviously not, but JJ obviously wasn't putting his best foot forward, either.

Anyone saying JT is the sole reason LSU lost is nuts, but his mistakes started the landslide.

3-3 in the bottom of the 3rd is alot different than being down 7-3 after a grand slam that should have never happened. Couple that with the men left on base, and it's easy to see how these guys could have been demoralized and with a feeling of being stuck in quicksand. Nothing went their way yesterday.

Someone needs to get Keanu to Omaha fast and tell him to give that quicksand speech from The Replacements, followed by "Chicks dig scares"...

Haha, I do agree with you it was big. And jj didn’t put the holders in after Guidry. He just put in inning eaters.

Everyone who thinks like this has never really watched LSU in the CWS. You’d be giving back the 2000 World Series Championship with that mentality. Brad Cresse is thankful Skip was his coach and not TD posters
