You know what? You’re right! Thanks for the assist.
Brennan is the problem!!!

Some players are practice players and some players are Gamers. Myles looks good in practice bc he has the big arm and has no one rushing him, but he panics in game situations and can’t utilize the physics talent that he does possess. His mental disposition cannot be untrained. He is who he is. Unfortunately we have nothing behind him except true freshmen who didn’t even get a spring to practice. We’re just gonna have to ride Brennan’s ups and downs until one of the underclassmen are ready or we get another grad transfer in the off-season. At least we can rely on the defense to bail us out this year....

Well, we have an opportunity to speed up the 4 or 5 year cycle we are apparently on. We have a ton of underclassmen on both sides of the ball. One of the underclassmen QBs would provide us with some continuity that has at least some upward trajectory on offense. All we need is someone who’s not afraid to distribute and understands how to read and react. Let’s stop playing checkers and start playing chess.

For what though? We did that in 2008 and absolutely ruined Jarrett Lee.

You’re right, we should just hug everyone and sing kumbaya.

Dude you're pathetic. Have a good one

I don’t mind playing a freshman if you think they’re ready, but if they don’t know the offense and the reads, it’s not worth it as this point. Also, I’m not sure the coaches are ready to name a backup bc you will lose the other freshman QB.

A year ago that numbskull was rating Mond above Burrow.
He has no credibility.
I have more confidence in Brennan than Mond.

You bring up two very good points. We will have to see at Vanderbilt if Myles can improve at all but based of the MSU game it looked like it would be a wash if we started a freshmen vs Brennan. Unfortunately, I don’t see how we could avoid one of the underclassmen transferring without a two QB systems. And that’s just not going to happen!

I want Myles to be Myles not Joe!
We do, however, expect him to be a productive SEC QB and the MSU game raised some major concerns.

This is what made Burrow so good last year. His presnap reads and knowing when to just step up in the pocket. Myles just needs to find his confidence. I do think it will come.

Nah. I want him to be like Burrow.

And his first game was Miss State (73rd defense nationally in 2019), not some top 10 team.
Players don't magically go from no confidence to having a lot of it. For most guys, they either have it mentally, or not, from the start. Expecting a big change from a 4th year guy is wishful thinking, I'm afraid.

Remember when Jordan Rodgers said Burrow was like the 7th best QB in the SEC and LSU wouldn't be good last year because we didn't have a playmaker at the position?
Cause I 'member.

A question was brought up last night about the back up QB situation on Tiger Zone and Gordy said something very interesting. He said the 2 freshman qb's were more decisive with throws in the first scrimmage than Myles was. He did come back to say that in the second scrimmage Myles did improve but that was a very telling statement given what we seen against State last week.
