according to LSUButt, Mickey won't even make a D league team. No chance. And anyone who says otherwise must have not watched him all year or is literally blind.

Lots of people also assuming he doesn't want to go overseas
I definitely think he will have a long long career overseas. You are saying he will be an NBA player and I am saying he will not. Nothing about whether he will enjoy his time overseas.
If anything, I'm saying it's sad that he's so ready to leave LSU just so he can immediately go to Europe. And like another poster said, he may not want to come back, but there is no way his dream is not the NBA. So if his dream is the NBA, I believe he should spend one more year in college and work on every facet of his game possible to get better. If he's overseas making 150-200k, I think he will be very satisfied.

I say one thing and this is how you react...that's telling
You attacked him and basically called him stupid.
He's been cordial in this whole thing.

You are NOT supposed to bring in smart comments like this in here... Its makes sense and LSU fans can't handle the truth.....
Says the guy who thinks he'll be a "sure" 1st rounder if he comes back.
Never change, PEEJ. Never. Change.

If he leaves now, His legacy at LSU will be him missing 4 straight free throws in an NCAA tourney game, in turn causing LSU to lose the game.
Good luck in the NBA though.
Good luck in the NBA though.

THERE IS MORE BASKETBALL THAN JUST NBA.

Ronald Dupree barely ever played in the NBA and they have extremely similar frames and games, except Dupree was better
I think Dupree might have been a touch smaller, but he def had more of a small forward's game then Mickey does. I'd like to see Mickey come back, but to be honest I don't think it will ever help him be an NBA player. Honestly he should come back to get a degree, so he is more prepared to live abroad and be financially responsible.

Goes overseas and gets injured never can play again. At least by getting a degree he has something to fall back on
Posted on 3/24/15 at 12:19 pm to dukke v
Pretty sure Dupree played for 6-7 years right? I mean, he made some money. No one is arguing that Mickey is going to be an All Star in the NBA.

Barring injury, he would be a no doubt1 st rounder next year with the talent that LSU will have next season
I can't believe anyone can think this. The NBA managers would have to be complete morons. It makes no difference what talent is around him. The NBA is adept at finding and evaluating talent.
If you think a bunch of uncontested dunks, with his knees up around his ears, makes a bit of difference to the pros you're sadly mistaken.

Or stay at LSU and get injured, and never make a dime playing basketball. Players can always go back to school. See my comment earlier about my friend who was drafted out of HS to pitch for the Pirates.

And can you quote me on the D-league comment? Thanks
I don't see it.

I don't see him getting drafted, but I also don't understand the rush to play overseas. Surely a legit scout has given him an excellent grade to push him in that direction

aka he plays defense-which NBA teams like.
in my limited viewing of him, he's a weakside shot blocker who isn't good in man-D. also that's in college. mickey looks to be the size of a wiry 3. he's going to have to defend 250 lb 5s. the NCST bigs threw him around. NBA bigs will be 10x worse

agree 100% and think if has any shot at playing pro he needs to put on weight.

I don't know who you are and have no intentions on making any bets on the internet with you. Thanks though. but we can just do the whole "told you so" thing like most adults.
Try to act like one. TIA.
