Plays it badly, maybe. He is a weak side help defender. If you think he plays good on ball defense then you clearly have not watched him. He gets pushed around very very easily down there. Hence why Missouri, a 2-16 team, was able to beat us

10x is pretty generous

Guys like Mickey can easily make $200-300k over there. That's pretty close to 10x. They make well over the $70k someone else posted, and have just as good a shot at making the NBA in 3 years as he would at LSU.

I've watched him all year. I never said he was going to be an All Star because of his defense. But he's athletic and blocks shots. Add some weight and I think he'd fair just fine. Fine enough to make a team.

What's your problem? I haven't said anything to you that you should be upset over. Don't be such a sensitive little bitch just because someone on the internet doesn't agree with you on a subject.

He will have a lot of trouble in the NBA. Does not have the size to play the 4 and does not have the game to play the 3. He is a tweener big time and honestly if he plays like he has the last month he won't be able to stay on an NBA roster. Now he is a very good college player and will make a living playing basketball IMO. I just don't think he will stick in the NBA.

Yall must have no clue about how well alot players over seas do. They make more than a decent living that's for sure. Got a buddy who doesn't even want to try and come back bc he is financially stable. Some people don't like school and are ready to go whether it means NBA or over seas. It's not always a bad decision.

I do think he could help himself as far as NBA goes with another season

I could see that scenario playing out. But staying at LSU will not make him any taller and he can develop an outside shot while being paid to do so.

6'7" tweeners who cant shoot dont translate very well to the NBA... regardless if they can block a lot of shots

He'd get abused by NBA PFs, and theres no chance hes staying in front of todays SFs

Hell, a lot of the starting SFs in the league right now are bigger than him.

Lots of people also assuming he doesn't want to go overseas. Just because it sounds to someone individually doesn't mean it sounds bad to everyone. My buddy that played overseas made a solid living and enjoyed his time. Only left because of injury.

Duh he;ll be a low 2nd rounder. He'll be doing good to sit at the end of a bench. 6-8 with no ball skills, or shooting skills not going to cut it in the pros

I say one thing and this is how you react...that's telling.

I just think it's amusing that people just blindly look at Mickey and think he's NBA potential. He will not make a team in 2015, that's almost a definite. So then he goes where? Who knows. But he does not translate to the NBA at all, really. Ronald Dupree barely ever played in the NBA and they have extremely similar frames and games, except Dupree was better.

I get your points but how does any of this point to the fact that he should stay at LSU another year?

not blindly at all. I played a lot of basketball and watch more basketball then any other sport, including football. I can assess someone just as well as you can.

I've never understood the "i hate school" statement as everyone who has a degree hated schoolwork just part of life

I just feel like Europe will always be on the table for Mickey, but a first round pick and check don't come too often. He's still young and can make good money, so imo it shouldn't be that difficult of a decision

You are NOT supposed to bring in smart comments like this in here... Its makes sense and LSU fans can't handle the truth.....
