quote:I suspect statistics would beg to differ. The number of kids playing football compared to the number of guys who start for an SEC team (much less an elite SEC team) is likely a larger ratio than the number of people who try to be computer programmers compared to the number of people who learn 4 programming languages. Jefferson achieved a level in his chosen field that less than 1% of those who start in that field accomplish. Very few people can say that of their accomplishments in their chosen field (or any field of endeavor). I know I haven't achieved the top 1% of any field of endeavor since I took the LSAT.
making a football team for 8 years is no more an accomplishment than learning 4 programming languages in 8 years
Jefferson's accomplishments in football are not likely to last a lifetime. That does not change the fact that they represent a level of achievement at one point in his life that very few people will ever match with any point in their lives.

word is from a coach i know, in drills he broke the ankle of a reciever on a pass play, then quickly deferred to an option play that doesn't exist in their playbook ( he actually pitched the ball at the last second to the line judge)then when questioned he said the offensive line sucked (there was no line at all it was a 3 man play drill) and after he was let go he blamed the coach for shitty play calling.

To him they do, and that is pretty much all that matters. He had a chance to do some things none of us ever will.

Nice, another scab in the Canadian Football League. Maybe the arena football league will be next.

I am sad that LSU wasted the talent that was Jordan Jefferson...

And how come you haven't written any new material yet?
I figure the statute of limitations on your screen shots dick post has to be at least a year, so I'll stay on that horse for now. If you're somewhere mocking JJ, then we can give you an award.

If JJ is set on playing pro ball, I hope he can find his place and position somewhere.

I am supportive of all former Tigers not named Joey Belle.
I am unsurprised that you lack such faculties.
Hmmmm. Joey did something worse than kick somebody in the head?

I support anyone that plays for LSU.
You obviously do/did not.

I backed Lee early in the season, too. My post history fleshes that out. I have no regrets
In season? Yeah, only after he proved you wrong about what you said prior to that.

Meh.Not that big of a loss if so.

JJ was a 5th round pick or earlier after his Arkansas game according to the rant.

He might have gotten up to fourth according to some here days before SECCG.

1) JJ is NOT a kid! You are a kid at 16 - not after a college degree and 4 years of college football. People need to stop giving him a break, "cause he is just a kid".
2) The large part of ranters that like to see JJ fail in the NFL, is not because of his lack of skills. It is because of his sense of entitlement and cocky shitty attitude and horrid leadership. If you bring that type of attitude, you better live up to it which he never did. People always hate that type of person. Look at all the hate Lebron James gets for his attitude when he doesn't have a ring yet and he is without question a great player.
3) I have not seen many talk about him failing at life. A lot want to see his delusional sense of grandeur squashed by the NFL, but after that I think most are fine to see him go life a normal life and move on from football.
4) NCG - he thinks he played well.
When this happened, I honestly thought that maybe he wasn't just a cocky guy, but might really have some type of serious psychological problem.
No reason in this world to "hate" anyone. JJ was an LSU Tiger and for that, I wish him well. But I'm glad he has graduated and is moving on. Like we all should do, let's just move on.

You don't remember JJ lost the starters job for the 1st 10 weeks of the season and only got it back after the guy who started the 1st 9 games completed 3 passess for 20 yds with 2 ints and had a effic. rating of 15 in the most important game of the regular season?
Intersting, too bad Les didn't use that strategy 1/9 or hell even in the Sec Champ game.

Another team will pick him up and use him like the Jets we use Tebow. JJ can run QB sneaks on the goal line and options to the short side of the field.

I wish him all the best for the future.

quote:Jeebus fricking christ if there is one annoying thing about the discussions relating to JJ it's the implication that the is a decent runner. The dude has the vision of a fricking rhinoceros and the moves of an elephant. Sure, he can run in a straight line fairly well but to even place him the same breath with Tebow when it comes to running is to be certifiably insane.

If for some reason JJ gets signed by a Canadian team or tries playing Arena football, what kinda money will he make?
