Don't worry. These 2 will be the scrubs to Jacob Karam or any of those top QB's we're in on next year.

Because the name DC is too good of a name to waste.

for those that follow recruiting, what position does Darren Thomas project to? he's listed as an ATH, yet plays QB?

just curious, with the commitment of J. & D.C. Jefferson.

Didn't Darron Thomas say he was coming to LSU to play QB?

“Like I told the coaches, whatever position they want me to play I’ll play it,” explained Thomas. “If it’s wide receiver then I’ll play there. If it’s quarterback then I’ll play there. And if it’s somewhere else I’ll play there."

He's got amazing raw talent. Guy has legit 4.4 speed and a cannon, but he's got horrible mechanics throwing the ball.

That said, he gets the ball where it needs to go in a hurry. Like i sadi, he runs great and will probably be a great running QB, but he needs a few years to learn the position better.

So far, 2 QB's: DC Jefferson, who is a 6-6 guy with real good potential and natural talent, but will need some time, and JJ, who is very similar, but may have more potential because of how well he can run the ball.

Lets not forget that JJ is huge: 6-4 210 and runs a 4.4ish. You can't teach that in a dual threat QB.

something you shoud always look for in a QB.

in other words, a RUNNING back

Let's hope Jarret Lee is ready next year. I remember another QB who redshirted his first year and tore it up for 4 years.

not a bad commit at all IMO.

Good comparison would be Juice Williams.

And when i talk about his mechanics, its just not a pretty delievery. A cannon, but not the precise motion ala Tom Brady (the perfect form).

I honestly don't like either commits from this year. If I were to pick one, I'd say Jordan, and that's just because he's an in state guy with less questions surrounding his grades. I don't think either QB is a future leader of this LSU offense. They just seem like depth guys, and if that's the case, just take one. Now with 20 commits (so of which won't qualify/greyshirts) that's not a lot of room for the high quality players we have left.

if a high quality guy wants to come here, we'll find room

dont think that this will push anyone away. The bottom line is that there arent many top flight guys compared to the spots we have left
