Stick to cooking, you're ignorant when it comes to LSU's recruiting.
Not too ignorant to know that there are several 4 and 5 star recruits out there all over the USA that we have not EVEN offered or even looked at as of yet... but yet we have many more OFFERS to 2 and 3 star recruits this year, so far...
I can appreciate and understand that Louisiana per capita is one the hottest spots, if not the hottest in the nation for high school talent...And, Yes I know that Darron Thomas is a 4 Star recruit...But we are talking about a 2 star Jordan Jefferson...Why offer him if we already have a 4 star qb in this class with Darron Thomas...We could save that Scholly for other more serious needs and if Miles thinks we needed another QB besides Thomas, D.C Jefferson and Perrilloux for next season, he is nuts...We don't need 3 QB'S in this class especially if one of them is only a 2 star and the other only a 3 star recruit...We could wait until after we win the MNC and offer another 4 or 5 star QB for the 08 class after we win the MNC! A 4 or 5 star recruit would be easier to get, and would be more attracted to LSU after we win the MNC anyway!!! I just don't understand the waisitng of another scholly on a 2 star QB when we already signed a 4 star in Thomas and a 3 star in D.C. Jefferson...We will be just fine with Perrilloux, Thomas, and D.C. Jefferson next year without having to have waisted this scholly on a 2 star Jordan Jefferson, unless we plan on playing him at another position or using him on the practice squad...
I'm sure alot of you feel that alot of our local recruits are under-rated by rivals and scout.com and i know that ALOT of our current players were probably 2 and or 3 star recruits and we are currently number one in the BCS with those same recruits...So some of you are correct when you say that stars don't always mean much...
However, I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us in end, a few years down the road...If we want to contend for the MNC year in and year out, it is my opinion, that we should try to go for the best talent in the NATION including 4 and 5 star recruits and not just stick to our Southern US region and offer all of these 2 and 3 star recruits...It doesn't matter to me if you agree with me or not, we are trying year in and year out to win the MNC and with that, you need to try and AT LEAST ''OFFER'' THE HIGHEST RATED/RANKED RECRUITS AVAILABLE, no matter what part of the country they are in...by the way, every one on this board has the right to their own opinion...whether you feel it is my ignorance or not is besides the point...

You've been heavily brainwashed by the "star" system. College coaches know what to look for. Sometimes they see things in kids that have attended camps in the past. Sometimes they see athleticism and feel like they can build on that. Sometimes they see a perfectionist and hard worker (Hester-like).
Further, you can't just go after 5 star kids and hope they can be perusaded to come to LSU. Sometimes you just have to go for your second choice. Filling needs is priority #1.
LSU recruits speed and size. Look at the list of commits and see their 40 times. Speed everywhere.
You have to let these guys recruit. They know what they're doing more than Ranters do.

how the frick do you know who has or has not been offered? did it ever occur to you that perhaps guys like pryor and gabbert were offered but they were just never interested in coming here?

You are making a fool of yourself, just stop now and cut your losses.

Excuse you? We did not offer them...Go to Rivals.com and Scout.com...it shows which schools offered them...We are not one of those schools...There are several 4 and 5 star players on the recruiting board that we have not even offered as of yet, in all positions, not just QB's Gabbert and Pryor...
Let's just hope that all of these 2 and 3 star recruits that we keep signing will be able to overshadow this and help us win all of the future MNC's that we are seeking!

Again, you can't offer the entire Rivals 100 as if it is the bible of college recruiting... let Les and crew fill our needs... just because Pryor may be rated highly as a great athlete doesn't mean that a player like him will be a great college QB... just saying...
Nobody knows exactly why and how we evaluate high school seniors and JUCO players, but if they didn't offer Pryor it is for a reason -- most likely because he isn't interested... believe me, they know who the kid is...
By the way, can I frick your girlfriend?

You've been playing NCAA Football on the Playstation too much. If it were as easy as offering every 5 star and 4 star recruit, and watching them roll on in, they would be doing that.
Believe it or not, there are extremely gifted recruits who don't give a shite about LSU.

Rivals and Scout do not list every offer a kid has.

Im not saying that he only has had 7 offers, i am saying i do not see us on the list...Show me some kind of proof that we even offered Pryor or the lower ranked Gabbert, for that matter...OR Someone post a list of all the 5 star recruits that have offers from us besides Crist and Manuel...
And when you proove that we have offered Pryor then i will eat my Ham Sandwich...

yes, you are saying he only has 7 offers. your argument is 'go to rivals and look at their profile page, it shows who has offered them' and thats both wrong and incredibly stupid. if you have a subscription try reading the articles where pryor says he has over 50 offers. why arent there 50 schools on his profile then? because the schools on his profile are the schools he is CONSIDERING, not the schools that have offered him.
it would be very helpful to your "argument" if you knew how the recruiting websites worked. its obvious you dont.
show me proof that we didnt offer pryor or gabbert.
if you have rivals or scout then you can put your own list together of the 5 star players that have been offered if the player mentions lsu in an article or is considering them
and he doesnt want you to eat a ham sandwich. he wants you to make him one. perhaps your time would be better spent doing that then trying to argue about who has or has not been offered a scholarship.

I'm confused at this point.
Either:
A) LA sports babe is a dude posing as a chick.
B) LA sports babe knows way more about recruiting than any girl i have ever met and therefore can't possibly be single.
or
C) Some type of mixture of the above.
