The sample size is measly.

Atleast DH Romero so there's a chance at something.

Romero has become the baseball equivalent of the back up QB for the football team. Everyone wants the Jordan twins' head on a platter for being 3-33 so they can insert a guy who is 2-23 lately.

You can't make this stuff up.

I'll play the stats game, even though Romero is apparently the goat tonight.

Romero has an ob% at .383. Bryce .426. Romero has more RBIs. More home runs. Same total bases. With 40 less at bats.

ETA: Romero is 2-23 tho. So not saying he's light years better.

Isn't 2-23 better than 3-33? Also, who has the better overall stats, avg/rbi's/homers? I honestly don't know the numbers.. but if neither are hitting, I think I prefer the guy with the most capability to put the ball over the fence.

but maybe the Jordan twins can start getting HBP again, so there's always that chance.

It's not ridiculous though that people want to see a guy who is 2nd on our team in homers to be in the lineup (even with limited playing time) How is that comparable to calling for the backup? Romero has been big for us this year. Not saying the twins haven't either.. but it's not just some unknown being called for.

Neither Jordan should see the field tomorrow. Unfortunately, our next option just shat the bed for the final out, so we'll be back to the one-two-three inning over trio of Jordan-Reid-Jordan tomorrow.

Pap has been seeing the ball pretty well. Move him up and put one of the Jordans in the 8 hole. Or maybe even Reid.

well i just looked at their OBP, it had been respectable since the SEC tourney despite not hitting. The last 2 games have put them in a hole. They are at about .303 OBP since SEC tourney. They both do prob need to be benched.

Yep. Ever since they stopped the switch hitting and kept him on the right side, he's been doing very well. I assume that this was Cannizaro's call and it has worked.

No, not it is not actually.

Bryce Jordan is batting .299 with a .426 OBP. Romero is bagging .300 with a .383 OBP.

Romero has a case over Beau, but my point is still that people want to point to the Jordan twins struggles of late while completely ignoring Romero has actually been worse than both of them individually.

Jordan boys swing at anything they can reach and never work the pitcher. They seem to never produce with 2 outs.

There isn't anyone else we could put in besides breaux?

I would definitely recommend getting Deichmann some help behind him so they'll have to pitch to him. Reid or Pap in the 5 hole could do the trick. Maybe:

Duplantis RF
Fraley CF
Robertson SS
Deichmann 1B
Papierski C
Bryce Jordan DH
Beau Jordan LF
Reid 3B
Freeman 2B

I like the idea of Reid coming up in front of Freeman and then the top of the lineup. Reid's OBP is nothing to scoff at.
