I would say it's the smallest crowd I've ever seen at a home SEC game last night but it's not - I can remember several similar under several different coaches, and the NIT game 2 years back had fewer than this.

The season ticket base for basketball is pretty old relatively speaking - even when the crowds are decent there ain't much energy.

Disagree. There were plenty of big and loud crowds during Johnny Jones and Will Wade’s in the past 10-12 years. McMahon’s teams haven’t given anyone anything to cheer about.

There are and have been exceptions sure - but I have been to probably 80% of home games the last 30 years and I'm talking about the norm.
Yes for some bigger games like Oklahoma and Kentucky under JJ and a few under WW there was some energy, but I've been part of trying to get folks in my section up and off their asses to cheer at big moments enough to know it's not something that comes easy or often. I've quit trying.
