This board has complained about having mobile/dual threat QBs during Miles tenure and now all of a sudden you want a "Mobile" QB to start now that Brennan is injured.

No, the board complained that Les constantly recruited mobile QBs only to run an archaic power run/long developing PA pass offense that didn’t play into their strengths.

The only reason I prefer a more mobile QB in Myles’ absence is because I’ve seen how horrible our O line has been at protecting him.

Ultimately though, I’d like to see both get their shot. At least now we have an offense that spreads the defense out enough to give any good QB a chance to make plays.

I know one thing it’s nice to know that it Johnson play that he’ll probably pull the ball a lot on options. So many times i watch where myles could pull it and walk 5yards.

If one freshman isn't dominant in his performance, over the other one, I doubt either would transfer until after Spring Practice.
If Brennan comes back healthy, and with Nuss coming in, we probably don't need two more QBs.

Ponchy has had 4 scholie players go to lsu in the last 60 years

As such, you're full of crap

It might literally be a game time decision, based on what O sees all the way up until kickoff. He will start the one that looks least scared of the moment/most ready to lead. I think we see them both, and O sticks with the one that handles the in-game pressure best.

The other comment probably isn’t right but they do have one of the top players in the state in the 2022 class and LSU offered him when he was a freshman.

If Brennan doesn’t start, we’ll see both. And even if he does start, I expect to see at least one of them.

The only way to follow BDJ is with Max Johnson.

How much talent comes out of Ponch? This sounds like complete bullshite.

But back to the actual story here, people are saying Brennan may miss 3-4 games? What the frick? He played the rest of the game after he took the hit. How the hell do you go from that to missing nearly half of the season?

I see no reason not to play both. There's downsides, but we're not going to the 'Ship this [fubar'd] year guys, so let's play [somewhat] for the future.

Probably not equal time. Whomever shows the most potential and is practicing better should get the preponderance of time. But I'm talking significant series, not plays, for both.

Combination OTJ training and live-action tryouts. You can't practice experience, so here's a very good opportunity.

I believe that Johnson will get the start because he gives them the best chance to establish the run game because will be better at running a RPO style offense.
