Not like we get a lot of great players coming from Ponchatoula anyway.

lol at anyone saying arm strength means nothing
Brandon Harris has a stronger arm than Burrow. How much did that matter ?
Posted on 10/19/20 at 10:07 am to kajunman
Exactly, les loved him some QBs with strong arms, it doesn’t matter much at all. As long as someone doesn’t have a complete noodle it’s fine. It’s way down the list of importance

Danny Eltling had a weak as frick arm. How’d that work out?

finley:
i bet he can throw through a brick wall, and he seems to be a smart dedicated kid (unlike Russell), but he looks like a newborn baby giraffe. like he's not grown into those legs yet.

If O goes with Johnson does Ryan Clark come out and call him racist?

Etling’s arm was pretty damn weak, relatively speaking, and he was better than every QB before him in the last ten years previous, sands mettenberger

LOL

Lol, it’s sans isn’t it? Oh well, like you said he did move like he was running in sand, so if the shoe fits...

And he was still better than Jennings and Harris.

Probably but screw him. Clark is a clown. Clark couldn't coach his way out of a bathtub.

All reports from camp have been saying Finley is the guy. Max Johnson just more mobile
From what I'm hearing, Finley is the headier one of the two and is way ahead of Johnson in the mental aspect of the game, reading defenses, reacting, etc. If Johnson can ever get his head wrapped around the game like Finley has, he could be special because he has all of the physical tools.

Can you post some of them? I feel like I followed it pretty hard & never read or saw that implied

Looks like a Rohan Davey Clone. Does he have the mental capability of Rohan?

No doubt about his arm strength. His throws are effortless and little wasted motion. He actually looks to have good upper body mechanics with his release point and the ball gets on receivers quickly. He relies on his upper body strength and probably needs a little development on footwork.
Max is a lefty and his release looks different, but there isn't much "wind up". His ability to make off schedule throws is a big plus with our OL struggles and he poses a legit threat as a runner.
Both have strengths and weaknesses.

Not all reports from camp come from the media. Some people have legitimate sources from inside the fences.
