Max against one the best d-lines in the SEC and Nuss against the 2s. Not really a good litmus.

OK, tell me who is first team on defense.

Now tell me who are the O-linemen protecting Nuss.

Knowledgeable coaches and fans have asserted that we are three deep in D linemen. Meaning there is little difference between 1st and 2nd team on defense.

It's been discussed that the 2nd team OL need to step up their performance. They are not ready to be starters.

If that is so, Nuss would have had less protection by his O Line, and facing a similar defense as Max.

I'm arguing that NUss should start. I'm just happy that he will be ready if he is needed.

that's not what that means.

It means we have legit backups that can play, but that doesn't mean they're as good as the starters.

No it doesn't. We can only play two DT at a time so, who plays will depend on down and distance and the personnel on offense. I know we have at least three quality DEs. Gay, Ojulari, and Anthony.

Does your statement, "we have legit backups". Can you make that statement about the OL?

Did you know Jordan Jefferson holds the LSU record for most passing yards in a scrimmage with 794yards
