I am sorry. I am getting F-ing tired of stats people. Watch something and draw your own conclusions. Ben S is the greatest One and Done ever. Just look at his stats. JJ is in the Top 1/4 of SEC coaches. No, no no no no. Just stop.

I would ask him why he wants to ruin his alma mater. And if he likes playing games in an empty Arena, because thats what he will have next year.

I just hope he can find a point guard and someone who can protect the paint. Simmons ran the show this year and that caused deep resentment from rest of team. Johnny Jones was taken for a fool by the god father. They were more interested in catering to the super star then actually bonding the team and making all accountable. In other words the sum did not equal the parts.

anyone know if it's open to the public? Cause, ya know, I've got a few questions.

It would be more entertaining if we sent a liquored up Bobby Hebert there to ask questions.

They made a deal with the devil and this is the result.....They promised Simmons dad all kinds of things and basically let Ben run the show to showcase his skills regardless of how bad it made the team....Hopefully they learned their lessons and steer clear of these deals in the future

I would ask him if he feels he has any right to ask his team to finish games/not quit in the future when he did yesterday...

...and was he surprised they didn't go on a 30-0 run in the 2H after he decided saving CV from getting his 3rd foul was more important than keeping his team in the game.

Damn.

Guys, he is out of his league. Let's not blame him for trying.

It's The administration that has placed a kicker at quarterback to use football terms.

Seems like a good guy and is a great recruiter but this isn't all his fault.

In any administration or company, you need to be able to select talent and place those people where they will most succeed. If they can't do it, they can't.

Maybe he failed at moving players around for the right positions but it starts at the top regarding blame.

This is probably the truest statement about Jones I've ever read

And Johnny Jones will shock the world by announcing that he will be stepping down as the head basketball coach at LSU.

A man can dream right?

I can fully agree with this. I really would hate to see him fired for trying hard at his dream job. It won't work out this way, but I would hope LSU could reassign him to maybe a recruiting position, redo his contract, and find a competent head coach. At least offer it to him. I agree that he is in over his head, but the LSU athletic department needs to share much of that blame for hiring him in the first place.

that's question #1

No. The #1 question should be,
"Coach, we are here for your resignation. Who will be replacing you next year"?

Evidence of "trying hard?" The guy was given star assistant coaches to help him with recruiting and coaching skills, yet he seems to have never learned anything. During the game he just stands and watches. He doesn't seem to have any game plan for himself, much less the players.
