Bayou just proved me correct. If anyone cares to remember the first few games we had trouble lining up and false starts. In the interviews O would adress needing to get this cleaned up.

I remember, it was terrible

“I wanted to simplify only the shifts in motions. I knew we were going to start two freshmen (offensive) linemen, so I wanted the guys to be in place so we knew how to block them,” Orgeron said. “That's all I've ever done. This is Matt's offense. He runs it. He calls it. He scripts the plays. This is his offense.”

He also said "I'm the head coach, we do what I want to do."

Lmfao says the guy who made gay sex jokes for 5 straight pages over the weekend. You’re fricking pathetic dude I’m done with you, you can follow me around all you want or do what you really love to do which is gossip after I leave the thread like a teenage girl but you’re out.

I’ve told my boss off plenty of times. When he’s wrong, he’s wrong and should be called out on it. But you’d know that if you were more than a manual labor worker or some other job that requires zero skill.

See, you can get away with that shite if you are so valuable to the company that they can’t afford to lose you. If you make the boss more money than he would be making without you, trust me, you can call him out on his bullshite and be thanked for doing it after.

Of course he's right. It just completely contradicts the collaborative light that BayouCowboy was trying to paint him in.

Not at all.

Only an idiot would think he meant all or nothing.

You think Canada had any idea that the head coach would be tinkering his offense when he signed on?

No one here does.

However the HC is always involved

If you tell your OC "hey, let's cut these pre snap movements? Too many penalties" and he refuses, what would you do?

Good bosses are actually ok with a contest of ideas. Doesn't mean they're always happy with it but they accept it. That's where creativity and progress is born.

Insecure bosses are the dictatorial types that aren't open to doing things a different way. They aren't comfortable with not being the absolute authority in every aspect of the operation.

Maybe Canada disagreed that there was necessarily a correlation between the penalties and the pre-snap movements. Shouldn't he say so if he feels that, seeing as he is the authority on offense?

Yes sammy he meddled. He had good reason to do so. He's the boss. When he sees something wrong that's what he's supposed to do.

He had good reason too? Explain. Orgeron knows jack shite about running an offense. He isn’t qualified to run an offense. Are you telling me that the owner of a pharmaceutical company should go in and meddle with the chemicals even though he has no background in chemistry just because he’s the boss?

GTFOOH with this “the boss is always right” bullshite. A good boss knows his limitations and doesn’t interfere with things he knows nothing about.

It was, But the offense was working. These kids were learning a new system from the toss dive and attack their strength philosophy they previously knew. I think O jumped the gun a bit too soon wanting flawless execution.

Again some of the motions seemed a bit much at times, however I still remain curious about how it would have looked in year two.

I believe had O not had such a short leash from the start he wouldn't have been so quick to jump in, Then again it seemed from remarks about the exact offense he wants here Canada wasn't it.

He was wrong then. It was painfully obvious.

It may be he felt he needed more time
