Then honest commentator will say there is no way they see such a thing coming and if something like that happens, or the game is even close, then they picked it just to look good on the far off chance it happens, because there is absolutely no reasonable indicator that LSU has any trouble with MSU whatsoever, other than the fact that both teams share 85 scholarship limit, both are major college programs and perhaps a tiny home field bump for State. C'mon here.

This is a made-to-order trap game. Hope the team is taking this game more seriously than the fans.
don't know why you're getting downvotes, because this is absolutely a trap game.

We just came off a big, emotional win, and have to immediately go on the road against a crappy team, and we'll be looking ahead to Auburn the following week.

Now, I think we'll be sluggish the first half but turn it on the second half, but anybody who understands football, particularly the emotional ebbs and flows during season, knows that this is a trap-game scenario.

Just ask Georgia how it feels to overlook a bad team.

According to NCAA stats, LSU is higher rated in both offense and defense than Alabama while also having a tougher schedule.

Anyone putting Alabama on upset alert this week?

No one is looking ahead after the way we got blasted @State 2 years ago.

We already know how it feels to overlook this exact team in the same stadium.

I love this line. You completely ignore the revenge factor to throw out a cliche and claim it's because you know football.

The tit strikes again.

Honest question, because I don't know, but is MSU any good this year? Like at all?

They lost to Kansas State and Tennessee. Take from that what you will.

My MSU friends tell me that this is one of the games that the suspended players are sitting out as they know they will lose and want to save those guys for games they may win....ya know, like at UT.

Shallow analysis in desperation to compete for brand recognition, relevance and a hot take in this ocean of way-too-many sports personalities.

If he remotely believes that he doesn't know Coach O in circa 2019, or is just dumb.

I'm sure Birmingham is sending one of their "Finest" officiating crews. But even that won't help the Dogs this year.

Blowout Alert!!!

As long as LSU let’s Burrow do what he does and take what the defense gives us. We will win this game big. I guess if the offensive line decides to lay down and the receivers decide not to catch the ball it could be a problem

Why would anyone have assumed this game to be a loss. Moo St lost their playmakers on defense and their QB. Even the old LSU offense would win this game

It does have trap game aspects. Joe Burrow transcends trap games

This will be someone's narrative every week we play a mediocre team. And if we survive a "trap game" and only win 45-20 they'll say the same thing about Auburn.
