Good article about QB1. Couldn’t ask for a better leader.

during a goal line drill last November, he tripped and tumbled to the turf, landing on his throwing arm. Crunch. He separated his shoulder.

It was a Thursday. On Saturday, he played against top-ranked Alabama. “Get shot up with a bunch of drugs and go out and play,” he explains. This was not some deceitful Varsity Blues–like ploy by coaches to pressure a player to compete hurt. This was Joe Burrow, already heralded as the toughest man around this town, convincing coaches to let him play in the biggest game of the year. Making matters worse, his backup, Myles Brennan, was injured with a back issue that the program had kept quiet. During a portion of practice that week, Andre Sale, a walk-on, even served as LSU’s No. 1 QB.

That's nuts that we never knew this.

We didn't score a point mainly because we couldn't block their front 4 without help and that gave us 1-2 options at most in the passing game and none in the rushing game.

We get the ball out quicker this year, have a better line this year, and they don't have Quinnen Williams this year. Should be a different situation.

Yes. We didn't score because Ensminger opted for max protect instead of quick passes with lots of targets.

The same guy who is undeservedly getting some credit for this year's offense. Ensminger is the reason we lost last year. Brady will be the only reason we might win this year.

When your QB has a recently separated shoulder, you protect him as much as possible.

So...having BOTH your # 1 AND # 2 QB injured isn't sufficient cause to consider going max protect?

So if we weren't sure before we better as hell now know that no one on TD has real "sources".

And also because our sure-footed kicker missed a chipshot. We should have had at least 3.
