2019 was a combination of Joe Burrow, 3 great WRs, Joe Brady, and an Oline and defense that came together the last 4 games. Joe Burrow was amazing.

Love Joe Burrow, one of the all time greats. Not the GOAT but in the discussion.

Congrats to Young but this years Heisman was very blah. Nobody really seem to deserve it but he killed in the SEC title game but nobody really had memorable Heisman moments this year to pull for anyone.

Burrow also had the greatest number of first place votes in Heisman history and had the largest merging of victory for said award as well

CEH (lest we forget a first round draft pick) and Moss were huge to that season, too.

I wonder what a Hershal walker / bo jackson backfield with Tebow as Qb running the option would be like?
It’s fun to sometimes think about those types of things.

Burrow greatest season in my life time hands down.
If he comes here as a freshman with the same type of 19 offense all 3-4 years , then we are talking about possibly the greatest ever.

Young grew on me as a legitimate QB, I was skeptical at the start of the year, but sure does seem like he was just handed the Heisman. He sure did have a lot of ups and downs where another year or two of experience was needed.

Young - 68% completion, 4322 yds, 43 TD, 4 INT, 31 rush, 3 rush TD

Joe had 78% (77.9%). Why truncate and not round? Never mind. Truly, you know the difference between a 78% and a 68% passer, right? If not, take a minute to educate yourself on that. It really will help you in future conversations.

7 top 10 wins, undefeated season while beating bama in t-town, winning the heisman and Natty backs your claim up. Burrow the greatest and not that close.

I still can't believe it when I think back. 60 touchdowns...

Burrow had the best season and it’s not up for debate.

He had the benefit of a lot of garbage time touchdowns because LSU was clearly trying to get him the Heisman, which he would have won anyway. He is top four with Tebow, Walker and Bo, but I cannot definitely say any of those four are far superior to the other three. I cannot rank them in any order.

Spurrier and Hodson deserve recognition, in no particular order. In today’s game they would have been legendary. I’d rank Peyton behind those at 7. Peyton was one of the top three or four QBs ever, but probably not top six best SEC player.

Not responding negatively to Alabama or your quarterback but when you mention scheme: think about this, Joe burrow has Ed orgeron as the person with the final say in the scheme he played in lol

Agree. One amazing year. One. With potential HOF skill players all around him.

Best in SEC history? Nah.

Negative, ghost rider. Burrow played very little time once he iced the game. I don't have his actual 4th quarter minutes played, but if he threw a 4th quarter TD, it was early and then he was out. I guess if you really look at it that way, Burrow probably created garbage time in the 2nd quarter.

Passing TD's by Quarter
1 18 30.0%
2 23 38.3%
3 13 21.7%
4 6 10.0%
Grand Total 60

Agree. Best season. But there is an argument for Bo or Herschel as best player in history of SEC. Didn't say Burrow isn't in that discussion.

I did enjoy how they kept comparing the quarterback passing stats to his during the ceremony and none of them stacked up. It was awesome.
