Has Jason Kelce said anything insightful, funny, or interesting on a broadcast before? I can at least see how McAfee appeals to 20 year olds and people that like Jelly Roll.

I say this with full sincerity that I would take some student calling games for a Pioneer League FCS game on ESPN+ over Aikman. He makes watching football games unenjoyable with how bad he is at it.

Joe and Troy have to be one of the longest-running duos ever in the booth together.

They're the longest. The passed Summerall and Madden 2 or 3 years ago.

I say this from time to time in these threads about commentators. Be careful what you wish for when bitching about these guys with the top jobs. The bench is not deep in that industry. Somebody will fill that gap and primetime will be fine, but there will be a Sunday 1:00 game that will be unwatchable due to commentators once the dominos fall.

Reminds me of Golic and Greenberg. They had a good show and seems like they had words right before the show came to an end.

Aikman probably wanted to negotiate as a team.

I suspect this was the case as well. Tried to read the article in the OP before the paywall bumped me, and it talked about how Aikman signed first back in 2022, then Buck signed after. Made it sound like Aikman helped get Buck on with ESPN; when the reality is, ESPN probably used the fact that they signed Aikman as leverage to get Buck to agree to his offer. Now Aikman's probably pissed that Buck isn't helping him get an extension

Why would he be upset about a contract?? The dumbass makes $18 mill a year. Why does he need even MORE money.. he is not that good and is only germtting paid now because of his previous fame.. greed is an awful thing.

Because he’s like to keep making $18 mil a year. That’s why.

So because he has a lot of money he’s not allowed to want more?

Never forget when they mounted a TV on the back of it because it was blocking the view of the game for fans.

His job is not worth being paid $18 mill a year.
