This is the direction everyone wanted us to go

The only people talking in extremes are the ones stating it's a "home run hire." It's all fun and games until Bama shuts us out again.

describe how so. A homer in hire is Aranda. How is this a home run hire?

Okay then let’s put this hire in context.

He’s 28 years old. A very young offensive mind, who is very modern. What type of offense is working everywhere, at every level? Really young, offensive minds. He was highly regarded at Penn State for 2 years. He then joins the Saints staff as an offensive assistant. Look at the Saints offense the past 2 seasons he was there. Sean Payton is pissed he’s leaving the staff. He helped with the game prep before every game with Sean. 28 year old young guy can never hurt for recruiting. Probably can become a very good recruiter in this area, with that age. Steve retires, we can see big developments in the offense then this guy becomes OC. He’s a genius with RPO’s. What works everywhere, and against Alabama? RPO’s. This is a great hire. So just stop.

For those not happy or questioning the hire, the dude is 28 years old and Sean Payton gave him game planning responsibility. Payton trusted his input and used it weekly. He's also pissed off that he lost him, and tried to keep him on the staff.

Definitely not ho-hum. Working closely with Sean Payton to create offensive gameplans means that Brady has a lot of potential.

Of course, he's never had anything like this level of responsibility before, so he could fail spectacularly, so it's definitely a risky hire.

A safer hire would've been someone who'd had great success running an offense at something like a MAC school. This is a "go big or go home" hire.

Brady is the epitome of the person the negas have been crying to hire. He's exactly what y'all have wanted as a replacement for Sullivan, he checks every box

I'll say this again. I'm not stating he is a bad hire, but if anyone is expecting marked changes to the offense because of this you're going to be disappointed.

Expect some "Brady vs Aranda" bullshite soon. They'll be hoping for his failure.

He was at PSU before. Peyton used him in helping with offensive plans.

so aim supposed to read some posters opinion and call it good? Fact is this guy has little experience and hasn’t proven a thing. A HOMERUN hire is a proven commodity. He may end up being great someday.
Wade is a homerun hire for example. Aranda is a homerun hire. Both had proven track records.

This has been in the works for some time. O has had his eyes on him for a hot minute. He was the #1 candidate and crushed the interview so they didn’t really look elsewhere.

I was hoping this wouldn’t come out so soon.....

......Bc I wanted to watch the saints in the SB and it wasn’t happening before that season ended.

There isn’t much of one to speak of. The excitement should be about the potential upside and maybe getting a guy on board before he really sky rockets and becomes a household name.
