I disagree and hate this sentiment that’s been growing over the last few years.

We had Burrow and Ensminger the year prior to Joe Brady. Sure, they were better than previous LSU offenses but Joe Brady obviously installed concepts that took that offense from good to historical.

There were a solid 3 "oh shite" moments on that 3rd and 17 play. Burrow getting the pass off, JJ catching it, JJ's run.

One of the greatest plays from qb and receiver in college history because of the impact it had on a season for the ages.

He’s going to be an NFL head coach within 5 years.

That video of Brady saying, They can’t stop it was like mainlining heroin for offense-starved LSU fans.

Interesting thing about that play is that #7 for Texas, who was a big-time recruit and talent, has the angle on Jefferson easily, yet hardly touches him. The acceleration of Jefferson looks effortless and video game-like. This is what I didn’t realize about Jefferson that caused me to underestimate him. I thought he was a borderline first round talent, but he was actually a top 5 draft pick talent like Chase.

Jefferson and Chase were an amazing one two punch. They made Terrace Marshall seem pedestrian by comparison, and he is a helluva receiver.

I don't understand how anyone can refute this.
Probably the same fans who laughed and ridiculed the idea, when Burrow predicted we would be scoring 45 points a game.

True, but Brady also demonstrated after he left that he wasn’t quite ready to lead an offense on his own. It’s not like he had no talent to work with at Carolina.

Brady absolutely brought the system and the playbook. And the moves to a super fast tempo and to the shotgun were key in unlocking Burrow’s full potential.

We all already knew designing playbooks and a new spread offense wasn’t something Ensminger was good at from his previous time as Interim OC in 16 and OC in 18. However, he was very good and experienced at calling plays. He also was able to put his ego aside and work closely with Brady, likely knowing he would get most of the credit.

Brady deserves a ton of credit for 2019, but that offense wouldn’t have been what it was without BOTH him and Ensminger working together. There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging that. And it doesn’t take away from what Brady has become. He just needed more time.

What? Carolina and Matt Rhule sucked and they still suck. Did the Panthers offense get better after Brady was fired? No.
Matt Rhule had Baker Mayfield after Brady was gone and Rhule’s offenses still sucked.

I think Ensminger is overlooked for his role that year.

What has Carolina done, prior, and after Joe Brady?
He seems to have recovered his Mojo, after moving to a team with a functional QB.

I love how people wrote off Joe Brady after carolina.

It will never not be funny to me how this board completely flipped on him when he left for Carolina.

We had people on here bending over backwards to say the offense wouldn't lose much since we kept Ensminger.

In the 2018 Spring Game, Jefferson took a short pass to the house for a long TD. No one could catch him. I remember thinking that the defense must be slow if they couldn’t catch a 3 star. Fast forward 18 months and it turns out Jefferson was really fast and star ratings don’t tell the full story.
