Exactly. He grew up in Ohio and he's currently playing professional football in Ohio. Do people really think he's going to shite on Ohio State?

wouldn't expect him to, what he did here is a sports story for the ages and I'm sure he'll always treasure the memories, but make no mistake about it, Joe was just a mercenary when it came to LSU, we were a vehicle to get him to where he's at now and we benefitted greatly from his services too

Meh. He’s from Ohio and spent a few years there. Of course he still has a connection.

He also happens to play pro ball in the same state. Don’t believe for a second that doesn’t play into this. The last thing he’s going to do is say, “No way. frick the Buckeyes!” while still playing in Ohio.

This interview is from last year and I believe he is wearing that LOUISIANIMALS sweatshirt he used to wear all the time.

Yea well, no sports caster, analyst, commentator ever refers to him as former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 3 touchdowns. So that's all bs.

I wish his intros would say "THE Louisiana State University" and just send the OSU boys into a frenzy.

He's from Ohio, plays in Ohio, I'd think he's an Ohioan.

I was (spent my first 18 years there) and then moved to NO and then BR. Then moved to VA, and now live in FL. So I'm okay, not confused, just not an Ohioan.

At some point in his life, he'll get the hell out of there too...

That’s a dumbass take. He reps LsU constantly. He loves LSU. To say he was just a mercenary is just asinine. He was a guy who through a string of bad luck never got his shot so he transferred out. At that point he had not proven anything. He came to LSU and was developed by LSU. Not by Ryan Day. Not by Urban Meyer.

He was serviceable in 2018 but out of this world in 2019. Did he go train with Urban and Day the year after 2018? No.

He got with Ensminger, and Brady, and Orgeron, and his receivers, and his tight ends, and his running backs, and they worked extremely hard and developing as individuals and as a team.

He graduated Ohio State too but if OSU and LSU played in a bowl, I have no doubt burrow would be in purple and gold.

He is woke anyway. I like the guy and appreciate what he did here but his politics need to stay in his mind. Would rather see him doing what he does best.

Fact check: Yes, Joe is a Buckeye. He graduated from The Ohio State University prior to transferring to LSU as a graduate student. A couple of years later, he also graduated from LSU in 2020, so he is also a Tiger. Joe has been verified.

This. This interview is from last year and his response was based on a question that essentially asked Burrow how he felt about Ohio State and whether he maintained any relationships there given he had to transfer to play in college.

He didn’t grow up wanting to be a buckeye. He wanted to be a Nebraska Husker. They said no thanks so he went to OSU.

In meeting with media members ahead of his first Super Bowl appearance, Burrow was asked what LSU and the state of Louisiana mean to him and his career. "LSU means everything to me. They gave me this opportunity to put myself in this position to be talking to everybody today," Burrow said.
