Joe Alleva's credentials before coming to LSU-Unbelievable

He hired 3 football head coaches
Carl Franks: 5 year, 7-45. Two 0-11 seasons.
Ted Roof: 6-45
David Cutcliffe: 12-24
Baseball
Hired 1 baseball coach
Bill Hillier: 121-214
Coach fired, accused of promoting steroids to the team.
Basketball:
Has not hired a basketball coach. Coach K was head coach for 18 years before Alleva was hired as AD.
Lacrosse Scandal
4 members of Duke lacrosse team accused of rape. No proof whatsoever, Alleva forces the coach to resign, the same coach who was the National Coach of the Year.
Alleva forces team to cancel season, even though 90% of the team was accused of nothing. 38 families of lacrosse players file lawsuit against Duke.
Other scandal
Joe Alleva, with his sons, are involved in a boating accident. One of his sons charged w/ operating a boat while impaired. Multiple officers state the smell of alcohol was present.
What stood out on this guy's resume?

The entire athletic department needs a wake up call. They were handed the keys to a football program barrelling downhill, but they think they are personally responsible for the success. Meanwhile, the rest of the programs at LSU crash and burn. They also ruined LSU's tailgating atmosphere to make only about $300k on parking. Trent Johnson has to be let go, but so does most of Athletics' administration.

And on top of everything the dude just got a fricking pay raise for doing NOTHING (except flirt with Tennessee) while at the same time told nearly all of athletics none of them would be getting a raise this year because there "wasnt room in the budget"

Mainieri was hired before Joe Alleva became our AD.
Trent Johnson is Alleva's big hire since becoming athletic director. The same coach who has gone 3-3 so far and 11-20 the past 2 seasons.

Exactly. Like Duke had a ton of good football coaches knocking down their door. Hell, Cutcliffe is a pretty damn strong hire for Duke if you ask me. And most of us liked the Trent hire. Some even loved it. Very few hated it. Trent's suckiness is on Trent, not Alleva.
