Was absolutely the right thing to do. Even from Wade's perspective.

Auburn Kansas and Arizona didn’t suspend their guys

One more fricking time. It was Eddie Nunez that found and brought WW to LSU.

Alleva was only "Window Dressing" as Wade signed the contract......

Technically there really hasn't been a drop-off. LSU (currently) is about in the same place right now as they were last season. Even with a different roster LSU blew several leads and played a ton of close games. This year is in many ways almost a carbon copy of last season. The differences are:

A. The offense is even better
B. The defense significantly worse than even the, at best, avg defensive team last season
C. The conference as a whole is "down" from last year, so LSU has been able to many times still get away with wins despite playing HORRIBLE defense

I dislike Alleva as much as the next guy. But we'd probably still be in the same spot now even if Wade hadn't been suspended...Good but flawed

Thank God we got rid of that program-killing fricker. He hamstrung WW with the suspension and hurt our recruiting. Next year will be epic.

well since all WW had to do is meet with JA and the NCAA and he didn't which caused his suspension, it's WW fault he was hamstrung.

Adults are responsible for their actions.

Also for making me defend Joe Alleva.

Im still living in the glow of the football championship won by the coach he hired in spite of huge criticism.

And we will win the SEC this year in basketball. His suspension of Wade saved Wade and LSU.

As Alleva himself said, he regretted hiring Will. He “got some bad advice about that guy” were his exact words

when did he say this?

They set up a trap! Smart not to talk to them. Also, who’s still here and who isn’t? I’d say right move.

Nunez did this and Alleva publicly just said approving the hire of Wade was his biggest regret. Then he tried to neuter him last year and we lost 1 or 2 very good players.

Only kid they may have lost was Lester quinones who chose Memphis.

Definitely would have helped us this year. He is far better than someone like Marshall Graves.

Lost N’Faly but he never became eligible anyway to play this year.

Played a little and who knows what his eligibility situation would've been at LSU. Not every school handles these things the same way.

Bottom line, having both players would make us a deeper and more talented team. Depth helps at the end of games, which has been our Achilles heel.

Everything you said was hearsay and bullshite.

Regrets? Alleva has a few as well. His biggest, he said candidly, was hiring Wade.

“I got some bad recommendations on that guy,” Alleva said, though he did not elaborate. “My perception on why I’m not the athletic director there is because some people used the situation with Wade.

Hearsay you say?

6 ppg and almost 3 Reb. Not much of an impact at Oregon thus far.

His size alone on defense would allow Wade to spell Days in order to keep him out of foul trouble and have him available for the final 6 minutes. His stat line is less important than his 5 fouls to give.

LSU fans complaining about the defense for the most part seem oblivious to the fact that if any starters get into foul trouble or foul out, the impact is far greater than it would be for a team with a deeper bench. Not everyone, but a lot of people.

Or you can say our AD suspended a coach over a fricking yahoo article that anyone could write and make up whatever they want. Just say, sources and it doesnt matter what lies you write.

Any dropoffs? No. But he certainly didn't help the program by doing what he did.
