I frequently see “that one is on Jay”, “Jay lost that one”, “I’ve lost confidence in Jay”, “what was Jay thinking”. Leads me to ask who does a better job of in game coaching, PM or JJ, what says the Rant???

PM wouldn’t have gotten Skenes of White so picture this team without them.

JJ has made some questionable decisions in game. He is also in his second year and has no one he can trust in his bullpen due to injuries.

We are #5 in the country and improved from last year. We aren’t perfect, but the constant sky is falling bitch fest is ridiculous.

JJ will be knocking on Omaha’s doorstep every year

Any decision that works out, Jay/Paul is a genius. Any decision that doesn't work, Jay/Paul is an idiot and should be fired. Welcome to TD.

Pm valued defense over everything else
It’s on pm for leaving this team desperate for pitching
It’s on pm and Cain for recruiting someone like Dutton over the zachary pitcher who is southern miss ace

You see that from a small group of about 10 posters. They just post it every single chance they get, so it seems like it's a large number of people who feel that way. They are the dumbest of the dumb here, and should be ignored.

Baseball is the easiest sport in the world to go back and nitpick. Johnson pulls pitcher A, and pitcher B gets hammered, then it was a terrible move. If he pulls pitcher A and pitcher B is dominant then he is great. Notice those threads are NEVER made until after they know the final result of the situation.

The guy sitting next to me in game 1 against UGA was furious that we kept Hurd in for the 10th. I don't know his username, but he has to post here.

That's fine though. At least he expressed his opinion on it before the 10th inning happened. He had a chance to be right, or wrong. The idiots who start these threads can never be wrong, because they wait for the the poor results before posting, and disappear when the results are good.

People spend 4 months crying about us not playing small ball and then we lost against Miss State last Sunday trying to play smallball

It’s hilarious that people are still trying to blame Mainieri for bad things that happen this year.

The problem for JJ was the hype of this team. It was number 1 so long so anything short of omaha with it is going to be a black mark.

It’s a bit sad because he has made a hell of a turn around. PM had tanked us since 17. Yes we made a super his last year but that was after we were a 2 seed all the way up in the Pacific Northwest. Since 17 LSU baseball wasn’t a legit threat to win a nc.

JJ turned us around nicely last the year and had us on the cusp of winninng a regional before we choked. That choke plus this semi collapse that is on going makes it seem worse. In reality it’s pretty incredible he has built back this fast.

I think year 3 and 4 is the real test

In-game coaching, the NOD goes to PM.

When PM was on, he was better at constructing a balanced roster, too. In his last few years he was arse, though.

While we can’t know if that is 100 percent true, it was clear after 17 PM went into 2010 and 2011 PM mode where he stopped being as into it.

I think it’s legit to question if Paul would work the transfer portal or if he would leave it be.

Agreed PM seemed to construct very good rosters 08 and 09, then took 10 and 11 off and responded well 12-17, before falling asleep again.

PM was also older and had more years in the game than JJ.

JJ is baseball version of wade with more accomplishments, he isn’t matured yet as a coach.

JJ has the program building up tremendous momentum in a short time. It appears that he is an incredibly hard worker and extremely talented, especially at acquiring talent. If he doesn't win a championship this year it's certainly coming sooner than later.
