Don't let the door hit ya, and take your negabrothers with you. In fact, leave now cuz there's no use waiting. JJ will be QB unless he's struck by lightning, etc.
Typical ranturd.

If by "new wrinkles" you mean "actually learning how to do basic pro-style shite," then I'm all for it!

While I won't go as far as calling JJ a future SEC POY, there was a lot of progress last season and he will be going into his second full season as a starter, which is when most QB's make significant improvements. He was 6th in the conference in passing efficeincy, which is decidedly mediocre. It also means, with just a little improvement, he's a top half QB.

He just needs some actual coaching. And it sounds like he's getting it. He can certainly be a Mauck/Randall level of QB (actually, I already think he's at that level now). He's not gonna be Russell, but he can be Flynn.

In terms of leading an offense that actually puts points on the board against quality defenses, Flynn >> Mauck >> Russell.

Just saying...

BINGO. LSU O-Line gave up most sacks in SEC.

The steelers gave up a ton of sacks too. Because big ben holds the ball too long, just like JJ.

We have too many wrinkles at this point and we can't really execute any of them consistently.

We need to find our 3 best wrinkles and stick with them. I like the throw it to Randle Rinkle, the hand it to Shepard Rinkle and the throw it to Peterson Rinle personally

Talked to Jordan this afternoon..said qb's are meeting w/ crowton/gonzales daily on passing game etc

It's encouraging to know these guys are sitting down daily and talking about things. That needs to happen between now and Sept. 1. Recently, my kid had to give a speech at her school. She and I drilled on that thing until she could recite it in her sleep. She got an A+. Seems to me the same principle applies here.

JJ's football IQ is the only thing that concerns me right now, but that could really be a lack of being coached up (looking at you Gary). God I hope Gonzales can help here

We averaged 325 with a below average running game. We need to fix the running game to succeed.

Tebow held the ball a long time and so did McElroy. The just had better protection.

There really wasn't a "lot" of progress at all. There was a "little" progress, but he was making the same mistakes in the bowl game as he was the season opener. In several critical areas, he showed little to no progress at all.

I thought JJ came in behind only Tebow, Mallett, Todd, and McElroy, but maybe I'm missing someone.

I'm hopeful/wishful/praying that with a season under him as the starter, off season efforts, spring practice, and fall practice the game will slow down for JJ and he will become a better game manager.

While I have never started at QB for LSU, I have had a number of jobs that I performed a hell of a lot better after learning the ropes of the business than I did at the beginning of my career.

If you are an LSU fan, you can only hope the same becomes true for JJ.

Whether it does or not we will have to wait and see, but its time for JJ to answer the call become the complete QB we need. imo

But we need a lot more than a few new wrinkles. We need to figure out who we are on offense and get good at it. We don't really need wrinkles, we need basic throwing on target and catching the ball.

this would be a good start.
