was as blatent as the Saints PI...when Charlie tells him it's not even close he goes off the rails and starts screaming how he is objective and Charlie isnt...fricking degenerate gambler is claiming to be objective about sports? I bet he lost a ton on the game last night, bitter a-hole.

Hes strategically taking that angle to generate conversation

9 times out of 10 you never hear sports talking heads honest opinions

Yeah really, no where near as bad, and watching it live it would be hard to make that call.

It’s not like the ball was 100% in the cylinder.

Jimmy Ott is still on the radio? Haven’t listened since around 1998.

(What’s so wrong with that? They’re both obvious calls.)

One was indisputable in live action...the other is still split 50/50 on slo-mo replay

He’s right. If the shoe would be on the other foot and LSU had that call or go UKs way there would be people crying about referee And SEC conspiracies.

Neither call is 50/50. Refs missed the call each time.

Its called playing off each other or good guy bad guy to gain listener interest and message board chat.

They probably flipped a coin before the show to decide who would take what angle.

You give Jimmy Ott way too much credit, he's not really a radio guy...I believe he's a bookie that gets on radio to get his lines out there

I am making a judgement non-call a lot like what happened last night by all three refs.

It may have been obvious on the replay, but unless it was called Basked Interference (NOT GOAL TENDING) in real time, that is immaterial. The refs were reviewing whether the ball had left KBW's hand before the horn. That's it.

"Chalie...You can't just...I mean...the guy was obviously....a player can touch....the layup was a tough shot, okay?...but, once the player....did you SEE the Kentucky guys?....I mean...c'mon....the LSU player.....okay, the inbounds was a good decision. But,...I mean......the refs missed it."

I'm guessing it sounded something like that

He must read that big blue sky blog or something. They're only showing the still pics and crying over it.

Replays clearly show defensive goal-tending (even grabbed and pulled the rim, which shook the backboard) and Bigby initially tapping the ball outside the cylinder and following it in just a bit. Yes, the ball had clearly come out.
