The way everything went down so freaking fast makes me think that Ed O and Brad Davis must have been talking and negotiating behind the scenes for awhile before it was announced that Jame Cregg was fired.

They are very close. He played for him and brad davis said he basically saved his life.

I heard he wanted to talk with the guys, but Pittman told him to leave the building. Im sure it had less to do with Brad and more to do with frustration for losing him to LSU. Sam knows he missed his only opportunity at home vs thin roster and a 3rd string QB this past season.

I know they’re close but the 2 reasons I’ve always believed you can’t fault a guy for leaving a job are more money and family. And in this case, Davis gets both.

Since he’s in the 1%, after Fed/State take over half, he’s taking home roughly $300k a season.
