I never understood the Jimbo hype. Sure, he won a championship but he inexplicably had 3 and 4 loss seasons with teams loaded with talent...in the ACC.
Jimbo had three first round QBs in Ponder, Manuel, and Winston. Then he had a very capable college QB in Deondre Francois. He had at least one NFL RB every year and the defensive talent was absurd. But then they'd go out and lose to NC State lol.
Florida State should've been what Clemson is now.

I wasn't against Jimbo to LSU, but I absolutely cringed when I saw that contract. I'm so thankful that we didn't throw that kind of contract at ANY coach. I don't know what exactly it would take to live up to that.

I was never a Jimbo fan..dude is overrated...he won a NC with Talent..kind of like Les Miles did also.. LSU dodged another bullet not hiring this POS... I’ll admit though, he is a GREAT con artist...
