I would not have been. I'm not sure which team would have been preferable. A running qb had hurt LSU at times and yet some have had success passing.
1 or 2 would not have mattered, and it doesnt matter. Theres alot of prep time between now and game time.

Like the others said, this is a national network. The commentators can't gush over one team. College football fans are rabid around the country and it's show business.
Palmer has been on the Burrow/LSU bandwagon all year. Herbstreit played for OSU. Can you imagine as an LSU fan with the credibility of Herbstreit putting OSU as your #1 seed? Herbstreit went on national TV with LSU as the #1 seed in his opinion. Say what you want about Herbstreit; he's earned his credibility.
LSU is this year's great college football story. LSU isn't a team that year in and year out captures the national attention. I've never seen LSU get more love from the national sports media.
For me, as an LSU fan, the 2019 Tigers are the greatest story in modern CFB history. Without purple and gold glasses, I think it may be the CFB story of the millennium, but to say that without seeing how this team impacts CFB in two years, certainly without knowing how the 2019 season ends, would be utter nonsense even with purple and gold blinders on.
