I agree on Burrow's jersey not being used again because of the Historic season all the way around. But as much as I love JD5 he doesn't deserve the same recognition as Burrow. Team success matters and unfortunately Brian Kelly wasted his season so he didn't get a chance to even play in a playoff game. But because of that he shouldn't have his jersey never worn again despite him winning the Heisman.

There should only be 2 numbers that aren't used. Number 20 and Number 9. Historic careers with Championships.

I always like Syracuse model where they give you the history of the players who wore the number and can place them in the ring of honor without retiring the numbers.

No one in the future will ever be worthy if wearing number 9.

Burrow was and forever shall be the savior of LSU football.

I would like there to be cause to retire many jersey numbers, but then what number would players wear? Just put up a display with their name and number and call it good.

Talking football here -

Heisman = Statue AND jersey retired.

Why? Statues are awesome and Heisman's are an enormous and timeless achievement. Number not retired.

Heisman + Championship = Statue AND number retired. Caveat here that if someone wins a championship in a small role or redshirt year then later wins a Heisman in future seasons doesn't qualify.

We've had 2 of those. We, unfortunately, won't have a lot of them as it's extremely rare. We won't run out of numbers. No one should ever wear 9 again. Best team ever led by our best QB ever.

Other incredible players like Faulk and Dorsey that meant so much to our program should have their jersey retired, no statue or number retired. I'd argue TM7 as well, but the way he left, I'd understand if not.

I never mentioned Lee.

As for the black woman, do you mean the pregnant one that he put the gun barrel to her belly?

Or another one?

It wasn't because they were white. It was because they were traitors. They started a war with the United States of America. They were literal terrorists

No. That's how I know all the people who got their statue taken down were horrible people
