You guys realize that Sullivan specifically said he doesn’t want to recruit.

Thank god...cause wheezing and farting at a recruit’s home probably will be deal breaker

That is a bit concerning that he doesn’t want to recruit but there is no doubt that our passing game will be much improved. Improved coaching and improved QBs. Whether Ensminger can put this all together is what has me most concerned.

It’ll be improved until his lack of recruits show up.

It’s so much better to have a civil conversation with someone on these boards than to trade insults. Thanks for that. If y’all u look around the country different ages, experience levels, etc work in different environments. All depends on the “fit”. I just don’t think there is a magic formula for any of this. Some may be too old , some too young. Some may not have enough experience, some too stuck in their ways. You see it every year-good coaches and/or good staffs not making it one or place and doing great elsewhere. Look at Miami this year. How was that coach doing at Georgia two years ago? Now, we are worried about opening with Miami next year. If it had been an opener against Georgia two years ago would we be as worried? (I know this this hypothetical). Sometimes people and relationships work in one environment and not another. Happens all the time. Let’s hope for the best but demand results.

So Bertman showed Ben and Byrd how to pitch, Bianco how to catch, and Belle, Grisham and Mouton how to hit home runs? Wow, I didn't know that's how coaching worked...Hmmm?

Skip didn't do that 6 years ago when he was 73.

I certainly hope as some of you get "older" you will learn a little respect....and live a long and healthy life.

Why do people make a comparison then say they're not making a comparison?

I am not thrilled with the Ensminger hire but if this move will succeed it will be because of Sullivan. Yes he is old but he knows his shite when it comes to passing and with WR.

Just the amount of downvotes to your statement show you how ridiculous the fan base is. I've never seen people want failure as bad as the anti O cucks on this board that call themselves LSU fans.

This I have to see. Bring an AED.

Ask Larry Fitzgerald.

Best coach he’s ever had.

Per him

Jerry Sullivan mic'd and coaching WRs at Jacksonville 2015. LINK Sounds like a very good technical coach.

I was about to post this same thing. Guy looks like he can coach. Labors around a bit but has still got it going.

Not a splash hire the rant likes but think he can help coach.

The most confusing part about this whole Ensminger deal since he has been here is why isn't or hasn't he worked with the QB's?

Because someone else on the staff had that job. And ensminger made it pretty clear in the press conference yesterday that previous OCs did not seek his opinion on the subject

Yeah, I was waiting fore someone to watch the video where he's showing the WRs how to squat or settle in to a route and joke about what looks like an old man/duck waddle.
Seriously though, if you want a technical coach and not a "raw raw" guy, Sullivan is that kind of guy. You can also see why he needs to be on the field teaching vs just a consultant/analyst.

I’m sure he is very knowlagable, but boy did he coach some bad teams in the NFL the last 20 yrs. I don’t think any of his teams had a winning record or much of a passing game by NFL standards since the 90s

Like in 2003 when Arizona was last in scoring the NFL. Makes sense.
