I thought this before the season & his performance vs SC solidified my opinion. I'm sure I'll have some people, lots of people, disagree & that's your right. The End

I said this before the season also. He will only get better and better from here on out.

Bears beats Battlestar Galactica. The end.

How could you think this before the season. Are you God?

These threads always show up after one of the RB's has a big game. Since about this time last year, Michael Ford, Spencer Ware, Kenny Hilliard, and Alfred Blue ALL have been LSU's best RB at some point.

They're all studs and all have a unique running style.
It's hard to pick out one that is the "best" RB.
Hilliard who is a big guy but is really fast for his size.
Ware, just a bruiser. He's runs a lot like Jacob Hester.
Ford, really fast. Especially getting to the edge and turning the corner.
Hill and Blue both run very similar, to me. Great vision, good at finding lanes, great speed. Hill looks a little bigger than Blue.
I'm so glad we have this huge stable of RBs.

I once said Kenny Hilliard would be a Rd 1 or 2 pick before signing day the year he signed and I had people laughing saying he wouldnt even play running back.

Disagree at this point in the season.
Hill is explosive and has the tools to be phenominal.
Ware made the hard runs in the first half against SC. There were at least 3 3rd down conversions where he carried SC defenders.
Right now for me:
Ware > Hill = Ford > Hilliard
Ware has the best hands, best blocking, most physical, and most consistent for this LSU team.

i still dont understand how people dont understand, after Les has said this multiple times, he plays all running backs until he find ones that works then he sticks with him.

Well... Alfred Blue was the best RB until he got hurt.

How do you define "best?" There is a lot that goes into playing the position of RB besides running the ball. Most people don't pay attention to those other things when they declare which RB is the "best."

There were a number of us that said he is one of the best or the best and people went ballistic. Nice to be vendicated. It ain't over but he is winning people over to that line of thinking.

I think it's funny that after a breakout performance there is a guaranteed "______ is the best back since Cecil Collins".
Keiland had one. Ford had one. Hill had one after scar. Hilliard had one last year. Ware had one the beginning of the season last year and even blue has had a "most complete back since Cecil!" thread.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, the lovefest will change every week.

Slinger16 :
I like Blue a lot! But Jeremy Hill I think is the most like Blue in the roster, only that he is bigger, stronger, and either as fast or faster...
making him the best I think, but they are all good, I like Ford returning kicks and running outside, I like Ware (a more compact stephan ridely) and Hilliard (jut has been maybe running too high lately)

If you had to pick between Hilliard or Ford on any given down. You would honestly pick Ford?
depends on situation.
If hilliard ever figured out how to run over people, he would be unstoppable. He has a tendency to leave his feet too much and several times he gets tackled backward. Ford is excellent at getting to the edge, so like I said it's situational.
