This is not just an LSU problem but a college football and societal problem. We have emphasized winning over character, and these kinds of things are the result, and they aren't going away any time soon as long as the culture stays the same. Lets face it, coaches get fired if they play "good" kids who aren't 6'2" and running 4.4 in the forty. We have helped create this dilemma.

Why are you guys making excuses for him? "Oh no but it was only carnal knowledge of a minor" Both are shady scenarios, and as long as he keeps getting a pass and is allowed to light up the scoreboard, he's always going to be an idiot who gets into trouble.
Stating what happened is making excuses? The girl was in high school. You can't even get the facts straight on a 2 year old case. You continue to assume the worst well he's lighting up the scoreboard.

I don't know how old you are, but eighth grade qualifies as being in high school at most high schools in this century. And even if she wasn't in 8th, she most certainly was in 9th, and all of these things are irrelevant because you're just deflecting from the real issue.
