similar build and stature physically, similar arm, similar poise and composure

that's of course based on that one 99 drive of action and that 50 yard strike to Dural.

I thought he looked like Flynn. I know people will think I'm crazy because I'm comparing a black QB to a white QB.

Every mannerism of that kid reminded me of Herb Tyler with a better arm.

This purely from his HS footage:

He reminds me of Russell Wilson while at NCSU/Wisconsin. Has the ability to move outside the pocket. But, is always looking to throw instead of scramble.

I like the Russell Wilson and Boyd comparisons.

We will be lucky if he actually becomes that great of a QB.

Remember Jordan Jefferson has a similar coming out party at the end of his freshman year AND in the bowl game. We never saw things the same again.

Right. I don't quite understand the urge to compare athletes all the time.

I don't think anyone's saying he'll be as good as Boyd, Flynn, or Wilson. Just saying his dropback, throwing motion, etc. remind them of those players.

Although I agree, it's early to start expecting too much from Jennings.

You watched him play 2 series, and a handful of garbage plays during the year.

I hope he is not a Tahj Boyd. It took him 4 years to turn into something, and still dropped the big games.

I agree with the earlier post: He reminds me of Anthony Jennings. The bowl game will tell us a lot.

I agree they are very simular in that I have hardly ever watched Tajh Boyd play and know very little about him. But people tell me he is good.

Dare I say he reminded me of Drew Brees! The way he moved in the pocket to find gaps in the O-line to throw. Remember Cam was also Drew's coach at the Chargers...

I understand people bringing this up but I think the scenarios are a tad bit different and Jennings is way further along than JJ was his freshman year in 2008. He was being redshirted but JL was so ineffective that we needed a change. JJ barely knew the playbook as a freshman.

IMO, I never saw Jordan during his first start at Arky and against GT in the bowl display as much pocket awareness as my man Heisman Jennings. He didn't just step back in the pocket look for a second and start running, he went through his reads and WAITED for someone to get open. Go back and check out the pass to Gordon. This dude is patient.
