Sounds to me that at the end of the day, this guy is just riding on a big local name to get his own name exposed. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

It seems this guy is in the media every day now since it happened saying the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against an attorney defending their client, that is their job after all.

However he is starting to make himself look like a self absorbed arse with the way he keeps carrying on. Quit screaming to the media and get your butt into the court room and defend your client there, where it matters.

Yeah, cause there were many people out that night "out to get" Jefferson and faked witnessing him kick someone in the face.

Just because someone says " they didn't see" Jefferson kick someone in the face doesn't mean it didn't happen.

the shoes haven't been tested yet

Doesn't matter; they had enough "evidence", IE eyewitness accouts, to arrest him.

This is Unglesby's bread and butter, and is what he does in every criminal case. After his client pleads, you don't hear from him again.

Just an FYI, Lewis Unglesby was the man that Edwin Edwards tapped to defend him in his 2000 Racketeering Trial over the awarding of Casino Licenses.

I remember him as the lawyer who successfully defended the guy who shot the costumed Japanese exchange student in the defendant's front yard on Halloween. That acquittal sent shock waves to Japan and back. Yes, I'd say Jefferson's in good hands.

I'm assuming that you didn't like the interview, Mr. Lowery?

My, aren't you a clever son of a bitch... Why do you feel like you can say anything and it be ok but if somebody has something different to say then let's make fun of or insult them? Are you 12 years old?

Actually, I most certainly did. As I decided to post, I thought up the words that made up the sentences in my post.

Unglesby is a very well known-and very effective-litigator.

But, thanks for the unintentional Captain Obvious routine. Great contribution, bucko!

Anyone know when the Grand Jury will hear this case and decide Bill or No Bill (or whatever it is called)?

It appears most LSU fans want the best for JJ... with the exception of "Team Lee" and Lowery and his friends.

Why can't you "Team Lee" people just be "Team LSU" people? Why do you hope for the worst for JJ from this situation?

until his next opportunity to get himself in front of a camera. He has operated this way for years. He may be great at what he does which is good if you are rooting for Jefferson, but damn he come off like God's gift to law.

This lawyer is going to make the DA's office and the BRPD (though they already make Paul Blart look better by comparison) look really silly by the time this is all said and done.

Wideman, I'm one of the definite "TEAM LSU" people and have actually been told that I'm not a LOYAL FAN as I'm not WORRIED about this. I told them that it was Les' and company's job to WORRY about it.

I just don't ever want to see anyone wrongly convicted, be it "our guys" or "the other guys".

GEAUX TEAM LSU!!!

Fair question. That was put up on Friday, THE DAY JEFFERSON WAS SUSPENDED. It means that, like any loyal fan, I support any players on the team. Because Jefferson won't play, I support Lee. Don't try to make it anything more than it is.

Enough with this team LSU, team LEE team whatever bullshite. If there was a crime, I want the people who did it punished. If there was no crime, I want them exonerated. Those who have the information and are paid to make those decisions have started the process. This isnt a video game people.

There is a series of posts from the same guys who have been trumpeting for Lee to start for the past two years. If it's bad for JJ, they jump on it pretty quickly... they want him kicked off the team and sent away before we even know what happened. That's pretty quick to jump the gun, in my opinion. And I don't think I've ever seen a fan base treat one of their own like this.

It's disgusting.
