Man I'm going to miss this guy.
To the LSU Family –
I use the word Family because that is what we are – a diverse group of individuals bonded together by our common passion for Tiger football. My own passion stemmed from a childhood of games in Death Valley, radio broadcasts by Jim Hawthorne, and Purple and Gold gear for every Christmas and birthday. I had equally passionate family members – as I’m sure is the case for many of you – which meant coming down with Tiger fever was inevitable. As a child, I could only dream of running out of that tunnel into Tiger Stadium – being embraced by the cheers of the LSU Family.
For the past five years, I have been living the dreams of that little boy from Ruston. I walked-on to the team hoping to have the chance to make it on a special teams unit my senior year. By the grace of God, I was awarded a scholarship during my third year on the team and the #18 jersey my fifth year. Lord-willing, I will graduate this spring with a degree in architecture. Yet even more valuable to me are the life lessons of manhood, leadership and teamwork that I have been taught by teammates, coaches, FCA and support staff. Through triumphs and trials, my time at LSU has shaped the man, husband and father I will be.
I want to express my deep gratitude to the entire LSU Family for making these past five years so enjoyable, valuable and unforgettable. There is something contagious about the radical commitment of Tiger Fans everywhere – whether they are filling Death Valley with a deafening roar or screaming at TVs across the nation. It has been an honor to be a member of the LSU Family, and I look forward to joining y’all in the stands from now on to cheer for the Fighting Tigers!

Fricking onions man...who's cutting the onions. I hope to raise a son to be as good of a selfless role model as this kid has been.

Proud to have an architect contribute and have so much class. We never get football players Glad when we finally did he was a class act.

Maybe its because they are both underrated white kids from N. La., but this reminded me a lot of Jacob Hester and his humility and likeability. Anyway, JD could do worse than that comparison!
Two great Tigers!

It’s a shame he was rendered essentially useless this year by the scheme.
