Jay’s game “magic moment” recognition

When exactly did this start? And it’s only done on games we win I believe. What is the general consensus here on this? Based on what’s going on with the baseball team now I know this is inconsequential but I don’t think I’m a big fan of it.

Baseball is a team game, everyone has to do their part in order to win. Recognizing the player that did the most to get us there is great.

Jay has indicated he has done this ever since he became a head coach
It's internal motivational thing that keeps the focus on that individual game
Of all the things to complain about this is definitely not one and furthermore, for him to actually share this with the fans is pretty cool

I like the recognition of good performance but don’t like the name. It’s not magic to hit a HR, or even 2. It’s not magic to pitch a W. It’s the fk what you’re supposed to do. We are LS fkn U.

Kind of my point of discussion, was it done last year, has he done it at previous coaching spots, etc. But the rant never disappoints in people being personally derogatory and even those that can’t even spell or articulate a sentence. This place is great ha!
