Jayden posted a QBR of 95.3 today. I mean just played his balls off against an SEC team away. I went back to check and the last QB to post a QBR that high against an SEC opponent was BDJ in the SEC championship game (98.8) but then again Joe posted a 95+ QBR against SEC opponents 6 times that year soooo tough precedent to measure against

The last QB not named Joe Burrow to post a higher QBR that Jayden against an SEC foe was Danny Etling against A&M in 2017. 2017 y’all.

So yeah, this was basically the best QB game outside of 2019 in the last five years. Hats off to Jayden, if we can keep this up, who knows where the ceiling is!

Jayden Daniels had a great game today, no question.

One for the ages.

For perspective - as good of a game JD had today, Joey B had (with a couple of rough games) a SEASON like that.

Also, LSU QBs have only thrown 5 (or more) TDs in a game 9 times in history.

JD did it against Grambling last week. Max Johnson did it against Central Michigan as recently as 2021. Mett did it against UAB in 2013.

And... Joey B did it 6 ( ) times in 2019. And, in addition to Ga Southern and Utah State (both 5), did it against SEC opponents (Ole Miss and actually 6 against Vandy), but also against Oklahoma IN THE PLAYOFFS (7 TDs) and Clemson in the national fricking championship.

Maybe…. Kelly looked frustrated with him on the sidelines today. The transfer portal is always a thing.

Joe Burrow was just a completely different frickin animal. Just don’t think we’ll see something like that at LSU ever again. Coupled with the fact he had the NFLs best two receivers at his disposal plus still lethal weapons in CEH, Terrace Marshall Jr, and Thaddeus Moss like that offense made guys like Ed O and Joe Brady look like geniuses lol

Not sure where to put this stat. Nabers had 13 catches for 239 yards. A Top 5 all-time single game performance.

13 catches is tied for 5th place.
239 yards is tied for 4th.

I downvoted because literally no one is calling for Nuss.

You JD dick riders are acting like this has bee normal for him and yet people still calling for Nuss. Not the case. Haven’t seen a single “put nuss in” post since before kickoff. Up until yesterday, I had no idea JD could throw the ball that far.

All you fanbois are doing is making it easy for the Nussbus to cry fluke if JD struggles against Arky.

Maybe. Everyone thought that about Brennan.

Brennan couldn’t sleep at night without suffering a season ending injury. CBK’s offense requires a mature starter that’s been in the system for at least 2 seasons. Rickie ain’t that.

Next year, Nuss will have his chance.

Brennan probably would have been our starting QB without injuries in 2020 and 2021. It’s not like he transferred.

This is not hyperbole. It was one of the best single game performances by an LSU QB.

Well I would hope no one would have the audacity to say Nuss should play now…

Can’t believe ppl actually thought Nuss should play over JD in first place… I was one of the ones who was downvoted and shamed for being on JDs side…

Nuss bus crew is a bunch of fools…

Kid balled out.

LSU is a special place. Nabers has a game like that and still doesn’t crack a top 3 single game performance.

I can't believe you are acting like this is how JD plays every week. Today was a great game for him, and it was one for the record books.

If JD played anywhere close to this every game, NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE would be calling for Nuss.

Today, JD finally did all of the things Nuss Bussers have been saying he needed to do.

Hats off to JD, and GEAUX TIGERS!!!
