No, but it sounds like you have a vested interest in PFF. It would be the only reason you could possibly be defending them.

This is a pretty stupid response to what the poster asked you.

PFF isn't the end all of analysis, but it's a respected tool in the toolbox.

Apparently BK and the LSU Coaching staff along with other unbiased and objective analysts think JD is a damn fine QB.

Luckily we have tRant expects to tell us otherwise.

Which is exactly what I said in my original post. That his 8th in the nation ranking was justified. As for being an expert, I am far from it and do not pretend to be one unlike....

PPF (PRO football focus), an NFL focused site that dabbles in college football to generate clicks. They happened to be aligned with my opinion of Daniels. You believe they provide respected analysis on college football, knock yourself out.

Good response. I appreciate that.

I'm too used to armchair QBs.

I'm too damn dumb to be considered for an arm chair position. I entered the couch portal years before it was fashionable.

I must confess that part of my apprehension about JD5 stems from the awful QB play LSU has had for YEARS. Maybe that is not fair, but CLM really went out of his way to see that the QB would not factor into victory (or so it seemed to me). JD is not awful, but in my view lacks an understanding of the fundamentals. He is a gamer. I am sure that 'quit' is not in his lexicon, but thus far he has not played well as a QB.

I think this is a far better assessment than a lot of stuff you previously said.

I don't think he lacks an understanding of the fundamentals... I think he is a profoundly gifted runner that is trying to convert to a pro-style (more pocket-oriented) style of play.

I think the dude could have had about 12-1300 yds rushing, if he played to his instincts/experience (from the time he started playing in high school). Drop back, quick first read ain't wide open; 8-15 yd gain. You can see when he does run with purpose, he's a beast. He gets sacked or short gains, because he's hanging in the pocket looking downfield.
And he's not releasing the ball quickly, because it isn't WIDE open, and he still "knows" he can take off, instead of an incompletion.

I honestly believe this year was the painful part of that transition, it should flow smoother next year.

This isn’t true, you just need this to be true to justify your bullshite.

It’s not a black or white issue, it’s an ignorance issue. Before the 2021 season the Max Johnson lovers behaved the same way. These fans learned football from video games, they have no idea what they’re talking about. The “racist” bs is just an attempt to silence and smear people they don’t agree with, they don’t actually believe what they’re saying.

Your response to being called a player hater is to call others players lovers

You’re the other side of the same coin

I’ve talked about his good and bad performances and what’s worked best for him but you guys always ignore that which proves exactly what I said in the initial post you responded to. Thanks for proving my point again.

So let me get this straight. If you don’t like the way a player plays a position or his style of play you are a hater or racist. Makes sense to snowflakes and woke peeps I guess.

I don’t like the way JD can’t read defenses, the way he won’t throw to a spot or before the receiver makes his cut. I don’t like eating sacs like a pac-man without throwing it the f’ out of bounds. I think what irks me the most is his inability to see the field. I’m not crushed by the FACT he gets sacked after he pulled the ball down to scramble and tuck and go. I’m irked because one; he waited to long. Two; he waited until the pocket collapsed around him. Three; didn’t step far enough up in the pocket sooner. Four; didn’t roll out sooner. Five; mf’rs were open for Pete’s sake. Now the coaching staff deserves some blame here but JD has played for four damn years. JD will never ever be elite, but he can play well enough to win. Hopefully the coaches an he improve on his fifth and final year with the great talent that surrounds him to be a good play-off team.

I do not understand why people have to inject race when they disagree or their position is shown to be untenable. I do not think that people naturally distrust each other. They have been brainwashed in to believing it is so.
