YOU'RE fricking laughable. You're saying no matter WHAT we see from JD, we're wrong and JD knows better, because we don't have the all 22 and the playbook?

Bruh you're proving to everyone that knows football that you're football ignorant.
1. You actually believe you can break down tv broadcasts and know if a qb can read a defense.
2. You think a qb that won the sec west just did it by winging it.
3. You think Brian Kelly would start a qb that can't read a defense.

That's what is laughable. I wonder who knows more football.... some armchair YouTube dipshit or Brian Kelly. Wow.

so he's not real effective at passing the ball downfield -- as LSU coaches have stated publicly

They publicly stated they wanted him to be more aggressive. Make up more lies to defend your dumbass assertion that a qb that just won the sec west can't read a defense.

1. Yes, I believe I can, many people can. It's not magic, it's football. Watch what's happening, slow it down, you can see what the QB did. It's not that hard.
2. Nope. I never said that. Go back and read my last post again.
3. Nope. again, read my last post.

Here, I'll quote what I said for you ...... "JD is a defense reading motherfricker". See? He can read a defense, and that's what I wrote. In plain arse black and white letters.

I'm agreeing with you, but you're still arguing. And THAT'S the problem with all these JD pumpers on tRANT-- like you.

You can repeat "football ignorant" as many times as you want. I'll trust my eyes and say what I see.

In no way can you accurately break down a qbs ability to read a defense by using a tv broadcast, not knowing what the play is,and what his reads are.

There is a reason scouts get the all 22 film directly from the school.

Agreeing with me? It sure seems like you were agreeing with a post I responded to that was saying JD can't read a defense.
I am no where near a JD pumper. I've literally been called a JD hater on here.

Cool you can trust your eyes from a TV broadcast if you want. [link=(I'll trust the people that get the all 22 film from the school that has him as a top 5 qb prospect)]I'll trust the people that get paid to evaluate qbs and has JD as a 2nd rds pick and 4th best qb prospect[/link]
quote:

you're saying JD reads defenses just fine, he just "doesn't trust" the read?

Or ... he CAN read defenses, just not on some plays?

Just like every qb that has ever walked the earth.

Agree to disagree or agree to agree... enjoyed the discussion.

Lol@JD pumpers.

I’ve asked previous … please cite any statistic in his 4 previous years starting as qb that would indicate he is anything better than mediocre…

The guy was shown to be shite when Arkansas showed his arse and jimbo was begging him to throw a pass down field … begging. Somehow jd didn’t see it, but the rest of us in the stands (you know… us paying taf members) watched it all season.

Kirby smart followed suit.

The guy can’t score 5-6td a game which neutralizes Perkins.

How can I say that with certainty- zero of his previous 4 years starting.

ESPN's QBR and PFF Graded QB metrics make zero sense. QB Rating is the only one that is standard throughout, the other two are very subjective and opinionated.

He literally just had the 2nd best yardage season of any lsu player ever and the 4th most tds in a season ever.Do you follow the program?
The delusion some of you have is astounding.
Jayden need to get better at passing but saying he is mediocre or shite is fricking dumb.

Jayden should apologize for making you watch lsu win the sec west. The fricking horror. I have season tickets too.
You watched a qb coming into a new system win the sec west too.
Our defense wasn't elite, our running game wasn't elite.... so how did we win the west.

The question that runs through my mind when I see some of the topics come up and some of the observations guys throw
out there is, what LSU football have they been following in the past 20 to 40 years that leads them to try to find ways to belittle a 3800 total yard, 28 total touchdowns, a completion rate of almost 70%, and a 10 wins season directed my a new to the program QB coming on the heels of two seasons where we couldn’t even break .500 in the win column.

I also wonder how many of the guys here would have predicted us to win 10 games, beat Alabama, and win the west? I know I sure didn’t after what the program looked like after 2020 and 2021. lol

So we lost to #1, #5 and #7.

Beat #3 and #6.

All using #9... I think we played a tough arse schedule. Likely the hardest against QBs per these grades.

The weird part for me is I've been called a JD basher all season because I kept posting how for the vast majority of the season we weren't good at gaining passing yards when a pass was thrown.... BUT you have posters on here saying he sucks, isn't a qb,can't read a defense and say they were forced to watch all season.... JD has some things to correct in the passing game but he is far from a shitty qb. This year will be the 1st year will have an off season with the same OC as the previous year.

OK go ahead and trust them....

2023 Heisman Trophy Winner Odds
Drake Maye 5/1
Caleb Williams 6/1
Jordan Travis 10/1
Bo Nix 12/1
Michael Penix Jr. 12/1
Sam Hartman 12/1
Jayden Daniels 20/1

Hopefully this clears it up for you or get some new glasses.

Yep. Jayden Daniels is a long shot to win the Heisman. This says 20 to 1 underdog. And the odds to win the Heisman fall out into 3 different tiers, Jayden being in the 3rd rung of likely candidates.

That's seems reasonable to me. If his passing improves, maybe he'd be in the 2nd tier with Nix/Travis.

PFF has him the #9 QB. Vegas has him with the 7th best odds of all positions to win the Heisman.
Look, in print.

Any idea how many skill players play offense in college FB?
But the rant should trust your eyes, not these silly little outfits? Sounds about right.
