He’s an experienced, dual threat QB who has played 2+ seasons in a power of five conference. Do we have another one like that on our roster?

With all the stuff going on at Arizona State last year I’m not sure if we can label him as, not very good.

I’ll go with the head coach on this one and wait to see what happens.

I know we shouldn't take another qb, because we all know Brennan is going to be great.
Get real Brennan is a descent qb, that hasn't prove that he can stay healthy, the guy has been in college 5 years now and has absolutely nothing to show for it.
I hope he does great, but it was wise of this staff to bring in another qb with experience.

gree. He's really talented, just applies it sparingly. I've watched him a lot, he's the king of missed opportunities.

Hopefully he's depth.

I listen to 2 different hot takes form Arizona radio sports
writhers. One said he wasn't going to start this season an no opposition to transfer was offered from Arizona, the other said he was going to start, but would lose the starting position the new portal QB as season progressed.

If he comes in here and starts that's a concern.

Riiiiiiight. And what did that get him last year? 10 ints and 10 tds.

Name one player on Arizona States roster that is worth a shite. That roster sucks.

2019 was his year, they had decent talent everywhere and he passed for 3000 yards, 17TDs and 2INTs as a freshman.

He ain't coming here to be a backup. Myles is most likely gonna transfer again anyways.

Definitely graded as NFL material after his freshman season. Program totally collapsed in covid year going forward.
Big time upside.

Because they didn't trust the qb they had. My God you people are ignorant. Hes NOT a good qb. Period. When a qb can play, the OC calls it towards him

Tell the truth, you had no clue that he had one of the best freshman years in recent pac 12 history.
Go back to the year before covid when he was a starter at qb as a freshman. That year is the year where he had Brandon A ,as wr no.1 .

That freshman year he was the talk of the pac 12 and was know all over the nation too.
He was a dual threat guy that could rush for 50 yards a game and pass for over 200 in the same game.
He didn’t just magically suck all of the sudden. Going into his second year, he was towards the top of the pre season hiesman trophy watch list.

Covid hit after that and Arizona state barely played. Arizona state actually went for weeks or even a whole month in between games. That season should just be thrown out and he still wasn’t that bad in that season which was a complete clusterfrick for pac 12 teams and Arizona state got the worst of it

This past season was the 10 ints 10 tds season. He had zero good receivers on the team, they had a bad o line , all this was on top of the fact that the ncaa was bringing the hammer down on Arizona state at anytime because of violations for practicing during covid and among other things.

They realized they had nothing on offense so they said frick it , we will just run Daniels to death. He ended up rushing for over 700 yards in that season.

So, basically the kid had one year as a starter where he had some talent around him , they had talent like aiyuk at receiver, they were winning and had a staff that was really making that school come back to what they had with jake Plummer .
The only team that he played on ,that was pretty good was his freshman year team

That year Daniels had 17 tds to 2 ints and was a threat to defenses with his legs

You guys realize that he had a higher passer rating than Jaxson Dart who we all praised Kiffin for signing? Higher completion percentage even tho his receivers dropped more passes. Didn't get the easy TDs from inside the 5 that most QBs get to pad their stats because they run the ball a lot and won more games in the same conference. But yea, he sucks.

s a degenerate gambler, I watched this guy a decent amount last year. He’s not very good. People are getting excited for absolutely no reason IMO.

Although I respect that and his TD to Int. ratio was crap, this dude ran for over 700 yards with a 5.1 ypc average and 6 TDs last year. That alone is something to be excited about. I've seen him and he can really run (and he has moves too). He was clocked at a 4.5 in the past.

He had 17 TDs to 2 Ints. in his true freshman year and they beat top 5 Oregon with him throwing for over 400 yards and 3 TDs. They only played 4 games in his sophomore year due to COVID and he threw 5 TDs to 1 Int. and averaged 6.8 ypc on the ground. with another 4 rushing TDs.

Last year they were apparently depleted at the WR position in a new offense with young WRs who got no continuity due to injuries. His completion % did go up to 65%, but there was obviously a lack of splash plays. Az St. as a program was dealing with a ton of turmoil too.

With this guy's speed, arm strength and LSU WR talent, I believe he could really excel. Now, the SEC is obviously a different class of football and that would be a big adjustment, but he would also have a different class of athletes to throw to. He would have to beat out Brennan, but this guy has legit talent deapite the lackluster numbers last year.

He ain't coming to start, that's for damn sure.

I've told yall all.along, Howard is being groomed to start this year, maybe after a bland performance by Myles.
Howard is The Truth...hes faster, heavier, stronger arm, and way more accurate than Daniel's ever dreamed.

It's unbelievable that a 5 star, #1 ranked qb in America (before injury) would be peanuts compared to a pedestrian like Daniel's.

Only the moronic rant would want Daniel's to start over Howard. It's insane

None of us know how either of them will look in LSU's offense against SEC defenses. They could both be awful, mediocre or they could both be great.

Also, Howard is in no way faster than Daniels. He ran a 4.5 40.

I really wish fans here would just watch his film. Cut-ups of all of their snaps on offense from almost every game in 2021 are on YouTube.

The biggest takeaway for me was he threw high on several occasions, many led to INTs. Even with the accuracy issues he still completed 65% of his passes.
