I love it but Let’s be realistic taking the amount of hits he took in the sec is not sustainable…he’s gotta shore it up come the grueling stretch

Unless it’s a quick release type, I don’t think he’s even thinking about the play that is called. He has a Cadillac group of WRs and is seeing nothing downfield.

It’s what has gotten him to where he is now and not something you can pick up on in practice.

That would be good for LSU.

He got better in the 2nd half.

Denbrock has to design more short passes into his game plan earlier in the game. I can’t believe he hasn’t figured that out yet.

Denbrock did call short passing game; JD hit on a few to the RBs swinging out but JD missed plenty of open receivers all game long.

But JD can run.

I, for one, wouldn't criticize his running ability, my only concern is he looks like he is easily breakable. But, he appears like he knows when to get down.

He's a God tier scrambler and rushing QB. He's a C+ tier passer. I'll take it considering the alternative.

I was told by the board that his rushing stats don’t count when evaluating him though

Lol. They don’t mask the fact that he’s a pretty crap QB. Puts up good RB #s though. You need both.

This was a huge area of improvement from week 1.

His accuracy on these passes against FSU was pretty much terrible. Last night he was much better.

Might have just been adrenaline in week one causing him to throw those passes too hot and off target.

They don't care to notice how much more patient he was in the pocket on Saturday night. How he was almost always looking to throw when he broke contain before tucking and running.

Holy shite, that’s so great man. He finally starts staying in the pocket and surveying the field more and even continuing to look when he finally does have to take off, but can’t get the ball to open receivers when he does. You’re so right, we should be content with that and not say anything about the guy anymore

If he was as good a passer as this board wants him to be, he would be the best football prospect to ever live. People act like his running hurts the team.

It would just make him a good quarterback

No one thinks this, you’re just not smart enough to understand the situation. You’re like a kid that feels the need to protect your favorite player from people that aren’t attacking him

Maybe ask the way smaller reigning Hiesman trophy winner how he did it?

Come on, man. Young doesn’t run anywhere CLOSE to as often as Daniels is on track to and he doesn’t get hit a ton behind Bama’s line. This is not a good comparison. Matt Corral is and he was beat to shite at the end of last season and finally got injured.

That's laughable if you ever watched Cam Newton put his team on his back and run his way to the Heisman. Danny Werfel did it and so did Tebow, none of those guys had elite passing ability but had ways to win with their legs.

I love his tenacity and the fact that he always seems to be enjoying himself. That kind of attitude is infectious and is a great quality to have in a leader. LSU would be 1-2 with anyone else at QB.

What's funny about this is people hate that he runs, but he picks up first downs. What does it matter if it's a run or a pass? I had a dude argue with me about him throwing to Boutte when he ran it up the middle. At that point you're complaining about it being a passing TD or a rushing TD. This isn't fantasy football, we just need the score.

And let me tell you guys, he can do this on any team. He just needs to not take big hits. His scrambling ability is lethal because he isn't just a bulldozer or straight line runner. He's like a WR. He's shifty, and I bet he runs in the 4.4 range.

Now he'll improve his passing, that's going to take repetition, but right now he has his legs and he needs to use them as well.

Some of y’all don’t see the big picture. Down field passing opens up more for running success. This is first and foremost important quality in a QB.
