If this was the ‘70’s or ‘80’s, I’d probably agree with you. NFL quarterbacks today are different, and JD absolutely has what is necessary to be successful in today’s NFL. His landing spot is critical.

I bet against the odds he'd be the first QB picked and stand to make some cash. I don't know how anybody with eyes can't see what I see. What can't he do? What character defect does he have? What kind of competitor is he? If it was 1990 it would be different, but in this NFL, he's a day one starter and huge impact guy who can win games so many different ways. I expect somebody to trade up to pick him despite all the naysayers telling me I'm crazy.

If Chicago keeps the pick, I hope Jayden doesn't go #1.

That franchise is a death sentence for QB's.

If Washington can fix their O-line problems, JD could make that offense beastly.

Best fit would probably be Atlanta though. Tons of offensive talent, just lacking a QB.

actually yes he is.

Hes being hyped by the media because Mahomes isn’t having a season worth talking about. Lamar’s numbers are slightly better than Baker Mayfield.

CMC is the MVP.
I agree with this.

What I will say is that, you know they love QBs. The Ravens have the Dolphins and the Steelers last. He wins those two games, he is 14-3 (best record). If he averages 300 total yards and 3 TDs over the next 2 games, he'll finish with close to 5000 total yards and 30 TDs on a 14-3 team. Remember he lost his starting RB and best receiver way back in the season. With 480 passing and 6 TDs, it will put him at 3840 yards 25 TD 7 ints. With 120 rushing it would put him at 900 yards and 5 TDs.

Receivers get wide open all the time in the NFL as well. Funny how you didn’t bring up the tight window throws JD made this year. You can’t teach some of the stuff he’s put on film.

That’s what they said about Lamar Jackson too.

I think you’re right. I think he’ll do well in the NFL, but your argument is off.

Tebow, Wuerfuel, Manziel… all tore up SEC and won Heisman. And all didn’t do anything in the NFL.

Well his improvement between last year to this year are great. Plus he will improve even more once he gets to camp.

Would you rather pay a B-/C+ 250 million dollars or a possible A- the rookie wage for the next 5 years?

Seems like an unknown. He could be an MVP level QB in the league or he could be a bust. But there is nothing that you can point to that backs your statement.

They should trade down for additional picks.

Their own first rounder is going to be a good spot. Build a team around Fields.

Was pretty easy to predict that none of these guys would be good in the NFL. The only one that had a chance was Manziel and he partied his way out of the league. Tebow was a terrible passer and everyone knew it other than the Broncos apparently. Danny didn't have the arm strength. He feasted in college because of the system and talent around him.
