I love watching this young man play. He seems really relaxed out there. He might be having more fun than anyone on the field. This type of attitude has to help him perform in high pressure situations.

TIA for the downvotes.

I would trade Daniels for exactly one past LSU QB. He is the second best QB of my lifetime. Close call with Bert Jones, though.

There are people who actually get angry that he smiles after or seems to brush off mistakes.

Jamarcus wouldn’t be the same Jamarcus in this era of RPO

Same. Always smiling and seems like he's just having fun out there.

Herb Tyler would be in the Heisman conversation.

I love that he remains calm but wish he had just a little more killer instinct as the leader of our team. At least when listening to him address the team. But calm is always a great characteristic as a leader.

Riiiiiight. Like Jamarcus would have to run in a RPO. do you even know what a RPO is? Or a zone
Read? Or a power read? Ans no a read option is not a zone read. Learn the differences and reads. So you think a RPO would not have made JR even more deadly? Lololol.

I remember not too long ago when Jordan Jefferson would appear to frown and sulk when something went wrong, and the rant was all over his pouty attitude and how he wasn’t a leader.

Now JD5 smiles a lot and never appears to pout—that I’ve ever seen—and they hate that, too.

Some people can’t be pleased. JD5’s attitude is an enormous step up from past QBs, and he seems like an all around good dude. No issues with him at all.

JD is unfazed. This probably won the game last night.

I think he’s better than Hodson and Jamarcus.

I think Rohan Davey and Mettenberger were the best before of course the GOAT.

Jamarcus had probably the strongest arm ever at LSU, but his accuracy and touch sucked.

He threw every pass a hard as he could. And he couldn’t read defenses.

That’s pretty crazy he had all of these deficiencies and was still the best QB in the country in 2006

I'd absolutely take Daniels over Mett.

Davey is close.

I still think I'd take Russell, Jones, and Hodson over Daniels, but that depends on how the rest of the season goes.

Thomas and Nabers would just have to run away from their defenders like they do and Jamarcus would throw bombs.
