76.3% passing, for 5671,

I believe going into the national championship game, he had the record for the highest completion rate in College Football history, just above Colt McCoy. There were 3 or 4 drops in that game that made him loose that spot.

Of course, since then, 3 QB's have passed them up. But Burrow would be 4th on that list today and #1, if only for a season.

Do you remember the offseason when numbnuts on tRant literally wanted him to go pro or transfer again - just so he wouldn’t be at LSU anymore? I really wish I was making that up, but it happened.

I remember those numbnuts calling for him to be benched still in week 3 b/c he had hit his ceiling and it was impossible for him to improve.

He’s already played four years no way he’ll improve in his fifth!

I was a fan and thought he would be improved this year, but I didn’t expect this.

This staff has one hell of a message to sell to offensive recruits right now. Daniels’ development over 1 1/2 seasons speaks for itself and the weapons are here for anyone to succeed on the biggest stage.

This year, he’s much more consistently throwing accurate passes and making better decisions. He is NOW a good passing qb. but he wasn’t THEN.

He was a GOOD passer last season and the stats back that up. We all know the flaws, but he still had some strong passing performances with great efficiency and turnover numbers. You must have a short memory, because we’ve seen plenty of bad QB play here and Daniels wasn’t that last year, especially when you consider what he brings to the table running the ball.

What he is now is a GREAT passing QB and the stats absolutely back that up. How in the frick can you call the #1 rated passing QB in the FBS just “good?” No matter what, Daniels will never be enough for some of you.

And he’s 5th in the SEC in rushing.

That is seriously impressive. And he is averaging 6 ypc.

His numbers mean so much more when you look at the competition he has faced compared to the cakewalk schedule the Michigan qb Mccarthy has played.

76.3% passing, for 5671, with 60 TDs passing (65 total) and a 202.0 rating is borderline untouchable, even if you adjust for per game avg to account for 15 games.

didn't they have graphics popping up yesterday saying Reichard (bama kicker) became the all time SEC points leader yesterday with 486?

if Burrow had 65 in 2019 and
he rushed for 7 and passed for 16 in 2018.
Doesn't that make his total 528? 138 (23tds x 6) + 390 (65tds x 6) = 528??

Anyone that don't agree with this as either jaded, or too young to remember LSU fans literally begging for quarterback development.

Not taking credit away, but I think the majority of it goes to Denbrock and Sloan. People here shite all over Denbrock last season, but he did a tremendous job developing Desmond Ridder at Cincinnati. He was just an athlete as a freshman, but was a legit dual-threat QB capable of beating good defenses and getting drafted and playing the in the NFL as a senior.

For the "points scored" record, they only count the guy who actually made it into the end zone, or put the ball through the uprights. Only one player can get credit for a score

It’s a fact

Daniels passing yards last season placed him in the top five in LSU history. His passing percentage placed him in the top three in LSU history. Now, those are actually facts opposed to your opinion.

His 28 touchdowns total last season rank him 4th in history.

Why, some are unwilling to appreciate/understand the value Daniels brought to the LSU football team with both his arm and his feet in 2022 is a mystery to me, but each to our own.

His trajectory is very similar to Burrow except that he started at his prior school. Transfers, starts his first year, inconsistent but shows flashes of brilliance, then puts it all together in his final year. Makes you appreciate Aranda all the more.

that's dumb AF (but thanks for clearing up). so a QB will never hold the record.

He had some solid performances last year but to ignore his struggles is just fanboy talk.
He took too many sacks and had some horribly inconsistent games.
