Exactly. I've got a friend in a pro sports club that is in a position to take a lot of heat. He complains about it to his close friends, but he also knows the reason there are insane amounts of money being thrown at him and his players and coaches is because people are passionate. It's part of the package so better get used to it.

Think about it. He and Jay are in one of the few businesses where people are so passionate they will tattoo the company logo on themselves. Can't say that for many businesses outside sports and car/motorcycle brands.

Jay Johnson knows more about baseball than I will ever know. I damn sure know he works pretty much 24/7 at making LSU as good as possible.

I just know as a fan I have opinions/what I think is the right move or decision while recognizing it's just mine as a fan. I don't think any coach is above criticism and blind agreement to whatever the coach says or does as a fan doesn't make sense either.

why doesn't it make sense? if you know he knows more than you and know that he has more info than you then why is it wrong to accept that what he does is based on info you dont have or aren't able to interpret, if that's the case than its dumb to not trust the coach completely.

especially if that coach has won everywhere hes been

Why are you here? SCe is in Myrtle Beach right now. You would have NEVER made that comment about Paul and blasted everyone who questioned his judgement.

Are you back so you can jump on them should they fail to win a title?

Were you? It’s hindsight. You can tell me to call heads, but before the coin flips, that’s not good advice. After the coin flips you can say you called it.

No one knew when, or if, Jones would break out of that slump. Remember, the same yo-yos who were saying move Jones were saying send Eyanson to the pen. Jay didn’t do it, but who knew? Maybe Eyanson would have kept struggling and Jay would have sent him to the pen. Y’all would have said, “We told him.”

I've watched every pitch this season, and the only time I openly questioned a decision was bringing in Eyanson after Kade in the SEC Tourney. But after seeing Vandy and Ole Miss fail to get out of their own regional, I realize, I was wrong and Jay was right!

It's amazing that posters on this site actually believe they know this team and its capabilities better than Jay and that they know more baseball than Jay. The lsu baseball fan base is one of the most entitled fan bases in all of sports. We rival Bama in football and Kentucky in basketball.
