He pulled shores to put in a lefty against one of the best left handed hitters in the country. He had done it twice today and it resulted in a strikeout both times.
Against this lefty, he hit a 15 mph dribbler off the hands to third base.
This decision did not cost LSU the game. This was the correct decision.

Lol, theses Puss's are so soft. The game played out exactly like Jay wanted from a pitching perspective. We had the pitcher we wanted on the mound. Most of the season he shut every body down. Today he gave up a big hit.
That's baseball. What could Jays coaching done different to give us a better chance to win?
Before yall say it, of course we want the bats to come alive. But thats not on coaching as much as the hitters gotta make it happen themselves. That confident group that was ripping base hits a month ago needs to show back up.
This game or series won't have a big impact on our post season. Let's be hopeful the bats come alive soon because we have enough pitching and enough coaching to go deep in the postseason.

18 wins and a top 4 SEC finish most likely gets you in at 7 or 8. If you fall behind UGA and or Vandy in the standings, that makes it interesting.
Top 8 potential seeds
Outside SEC
1. Clemson
2. WVU (even though they suck)
3. FSU
4. North Carolina
5. Somebody out west just so they don't get
stoned to death. UCLA?

Arkansas
Texas
LSU, UGA, VANDY,
Tennessee
We're still setting pretty good for a top 8 if we don't choke against arkansas.

It was the right move. If someone would have said we’d need Cowan to get 4 outs and take the series I’d had taken it 10/10 times
