Then take him off the list, and its still a really solid list for basically 2 years of work

Crews hit .362 as a freshmen with a shell of Paul Mainieri. He was destined for greatness already

Dude. Dylan Crews was the highest rated player to ever make it to LSU before cam Johnson. You want to thank someone? Thank China for Covid. He hit 18 HRs as a Freshman under Paul.
He listed 7 other players

No let’s do this. Jay inherited the best baseball player in college in the last 5 or so years and Skenes developed perfectly. A lot of things went our way last year. He looks overmatched right now. That is the truth. Every decision he has made this season in crunch time has bit him in the arse. Right or wrong?
The in-game decisions can always be questioned and it's easily not working for us now. That's fixable IMO.
Not sure if that answered from how I think about it.

Jobert was better in a shorter season the first year he was here. Beloso was the LA player of the year. Dugas started since he stepped foot on campus. Cooper sucked all of last year except postseason. Milazzo went from a terrible hitter to a maybe he can walk and get on. Ty Floyd got lucky he shoved against Florida and got drafted.

And i didnt even list dugas when i easily could have

I mean are we just going to list all the baseball players that were better as juniors and seniors than they were as freshmen and sophomores?
I’m pretty sure the post I quoted was was “outside of Travinski, NO ONE elevated their game under Jay Johnson”.

Oh sorry misread. You said Jones, who was also a high draft guy?

Yes, I am. He was great his freshman year. He got greater

Pearson is who he has always been Kling is god awful Guidry Hurd I didnt list any of those players
I did. All have stalled or gotten worse this season

Jay is a good coach but a great recruiter.
Posted on 4/5/24 at 11:08 pm to Thib-a-doe Tiger
Every player on this list we were “lucky” to have land here and suck currently.
-Guidry
- Cam Johnson
- Kling
- Milam
- Brown
- Neal
For example: Arky and Vandy both had lower rated freshman that are performing at a much higher level right now.

False.

Beloso was the LA player of the year.
Was considering QUITTING before 2022.

Cooper sucked all of last year except postseason.
Pivotal to the title.
quote:
Milazzo went from a terrible hitter to a maybe he can walk and get on.
So he improved.
quote:
Ty Floyd got lucky he shoved against Florida and got drafted.
Biggest improvement from 2022 to 2023. Not surprising you want to disregard.

Crews OPS:
2021- 1.116
2022- 1.154
2023- 1.280
He improved steadily. You can’t blame coaching for for not developing some players then ignore development in others.

Lol, what?

You want to use his 2020 or 2021 stats and compare them to 2023? High school accomplishments are useless in this exercise. Stop embarrassing yourself

Dugas started since he stepped foot on campus.
False and i didnt even list him

Is that not improvement?

Keep making yourself look dumb

Brother you’re the only one that looks dumb.

You are trashing one of the greatest teams to ever lace them up. Ill happily defend them
Posted on 4/5/24 at 11:10 pm to talmaniandevil_25
I mean, Ty Floyd definitely improved. Be it bc of Jay or Wes Johnson or raw ability, but he improved.
