He changed his opinion within hours, something you and people like you are incapable of doing. The irony you display is only matched by your ignorance.

These threads are where you realize a lot of LSU and Saints fans are more fans of Team Maga than they are fans of lsu and the saints.

This! 100! And usually it is the libs that are the snowflakes but threads like this show the MAGAs are just as much of snowflakes as the libs. So offended that a football player has opposing views that they cancel their own teams.

Whitlock is a political target because he’s what they hate the most. Black, Christian and a free thinker.

Hell, look at some of the responses attacking him in this thread.

Burrow? He can say what he wants.

Whitlock? He doesn't really believe what he's saying. He's just trying to "exploit" a market for conservative audiences.

Whitlock has given provocative, shite-stirring opinions his entire career, going back to his days at the KC Star. Some of it stupid. Some of it on point. But he is pretty damn consistent in saying what he thinks instead of what he thinks his audience wants to hear.

I have been on this site before saying I was wrong about several things. You are just another tool trying to act holier than thou.

Exactly, 2 of his closest friends, Barkley and Isaiah Thomas, usually disagree with him when it comes to things outside of sports. Isaiah couldn’t be more left and Barkley is a lot like Whitlock, they just give personal opinions so they disagree. He also loves coach JB who hates conservatives and southerners and has a 100% So Cal/Compton world view. The people attacking Whitlock don’t know anything about him, they’re just repeating what social media orders them to think.

I wish that were still the case but the NFL has gone full corporate authoritarianism. Let’s take (D) and (R) out of it, the fact is the corporate mindset lines up with the mindset of centralized power which always leans towards censorship, stripping of rights and oppressive behavior. These players, off the field, are now strongly encouraged, coerced or even forced to push that corporate/oppressive mindset.

Yep. Case in point is what Aaron Rodgers revealed about how the NFL actively tried to coerce high profile players how to speak about the Covid/vaccine hysteria.

So burrow is a special teams fiasco in game 1 and Defense not stopping dallas after a major comback away in game 2 from being 2 and 0 . Oh throw in the fact the Oline has been worse than last year after 2 games. Yeah definetly Joe burrow has lost it. Forget the fact burrow had his team setup to win the last 2 games and loses sitting on the bench.

The NFL is almost always a dog fight and in week 1 yes he had some bad plays but, as you mentioned the special teams blunders but also terrible coaching decisions cost them that game. Burrow for his part rallied and got them back in it like a winning QB does after a bad start. But there are some issues, an analyst pointed out that he’s struggling and seeing a lot of cover 2 because he’s trying to hit the big plays instead of checking it down. The Oline isn’t there yet despite talent upgrades and him holding the ball is compounding the problem. He’ll get it fixed, Burrow is maniacal, it’s his coach I’d be more worried about.

Burrow is prioritizing social justice values and fashion over actually being a football player

There is zero evidence that his priorities are as such.

A few off comments does not mean he’s not going full-bore for football.

I’ll always appreciate Burrow and his time at LSU. I give zero fricks about his political preferences. Not sure what the big deal is here beyond a black writer criticizing a White athlete.

I loved Joe at LSU. He helped a lot of other great players give us fans an unforgettable season. He is not an LSU Tiger any more and in the NFL. The prima donnas there hold no interest, at least to me.

Your definition of Jason as a freethinker is a crock of shite. He works for the fricking Blaze, a notorious conservative site.

He wrote the article because he audience would love the opinion, not because he's some freethinker. He's a piece of shite journalist with 0 integrity.
