You are asking too much of the TheRantards. They were the high water mark for LSU offense.

He catches a bunch of 3 yard passes. That's not prolific

Landry will always be one of my favorite Tigers!!! Wish the Saints could have drafted him.

On the other hand, OBJ has become one of my all time least favorite Tigers!!!

He will likely finish the season with 4000 career yards. How many does Snead have?

If he hits 1000 this year, that's 3 straight seasons over 1000. That's pretty prolific.

I couldnt imagine an offense that had Cooks, Landry, Thomas and Kamara all on the field at the same time.

Miles was the worst choice Skip could have made

Not sure about that... Its funny while his offense was mostly boring he still won A TON of games even tough the opponents KNEW what was coming...........

I bet Vandy or Kentucky would have loved to have that kind of success,,,,,,, Why don't you go root for them.........

down conversions. Everyone knew we had to throw on 3rd and 5 to 8 yards and they Still couldn't stop it. The reason we had so many 3rd and longs was because Miles wanted to run on 1st and 2nd down.

This is a very good point. And miles continuing the same predictable mindset for several more years with lesser qbs and WRs was his downfall.
He was never able to adjust his game plan to best fit his personnel but usually had good enough talent to overcome that. Obj and Jarvis would be great in any system, but would have been unstoppable in a modern offense.

Tell us all again how you rather have Willie Snead then Jarvis Landry as a slot receiver for the Saints.

He was my favorite LSU receiver. The catches he made were insane. Not surprised he is one of the best in the NFL.

Landry and OBJ together, we should have been 60-70% pass. Another Miles debacle.

We had like the best offense miles ever had that year

Defense sucked for the first time outside of 2008

Objectively our offense was good.

Yes. It was good.

But dude. We fielded a team with possibly the greatest college WR tandem in history........a ridiculous running attack.......and a serviceable NFL QB.

And, finished 23rd in the nation in scoring and I believe 6th in the SEC.

Which MIGHT be defensible if we had some absurd defense that was shutting everyone down. But our defense blew chunks that year! LOL.

That season, we should have been putting up Big 12 type numbers!

I mean come on people. Now that you've seen what we REALLY had in JL, OB and JH, there's just no defense for completely average production in the only stat that actually matters.

When no other team had 2 dbs that could matchup with Landry and OBJ, we should have thrown it 65 times, or until someone stopped it.

Being we lead the country in 3rd down conversion, when they knew we were going to pass.
